Hola, querido hiver.

El mes de julio se va terminando y en las noticias dicen que a escala mundial ha sido el más caluroso de la historia desde que se tienen registros. La verdad es que, al menos en la ciudad donde vivo, estamos pasando un verano atípico pero por ser escasos los días de fuerte calor. En el año anterior eran olas de calor que duraban semanas enteras sin poder descansar por las noches, y sin embargo, en este han sido contadas.

Me satura tanto falso apocalipsis. Por un lado quiero estar informada de lo que ocurre en el mundo, es parte de mi inquietud desde niña. Pero los medios de comunicación de masas me irritan sobremanera. Tener la facilidad de captar los mensajes vacíos, las enormes mentiras que pretenden que nos traguemos, y sobre todo, ver cómo muchos de los que me rodean se las tragan, hacen que me den ganas de no encenderla.

La verdad es que la suelo mantener de fondo sin prestarle apenas atención. Cuando quiero tomar el pulso a la actualidad consulto algún periódico digital o me meto en Twitter (ahora X). Procuro conocer sin involucrarme en exceso. Eso disminuye la ansiedad y las ganas de irme a vivir a una cueva. Me recuerdo que solo da réditos lo negativo y por eso parece que todo sean desgracias, pero siguen ocurriendo cosas buenas. Es solo que no las sacan en las noticias.

Los hombres son unos más agudos y otros más obtusos, y criados unos en mejores costumbres y otros en peores, siendo unos de peor carácter o naturaleza, necesitarían mayor número de demostraciones y mayor argumentación para aceptar estas opiniones y quedar modelados según ellas, igual, creo, que los cuerpos enfermizos necesitan mucho mayor cuidado para estar bien.

Mi reflexión

Al pensar de la forma más objetiva que puedo, desprovista de emociones, sé que he sido y sigo siendo una privilegiada. No he sido siempre consciente de esa realidad, pues una se acomoda a las circunstancias y deja de ver más allá de las narices.

Durante mi infancia no disfruté de lujos, apenas recuerdo vacaciones que no fueran en el pueblo porque allí el alojamiento era la casa de mi abuela. Pero tampoco me faltó nada de lo necesario, siempre hubo comida caliente en la mesa y algún que otro rico postre.

Conforme crecí tampoco faltó la educación, tuve libertad para elegir estudiar lo que yo quise. Esto puede parecer lógico para la época en que crecí. Sin embargo, conocí a más de uno que tuvo que estudiar lo que sus padres le obligaron por proceder de familias acomodadas, en las que había que cumplir con la tradición o continuar el negocio familiar. El resultado fue su desdicha futura.

He podido evolucionar, pasando por episodios de subidas y bajadas. De todos he procurado aprender. Hasta llegar al día de hoy, en el que sigo teniendo comida caliente en la mesa, esta vez en mi propio hogar. Pero, en lugar de quedarme encerrada en mi burbuja, ejerzo el privilegio de dedicarme a ayudar a otros al mismo tiempo que me ocupo de apostar por mi futuro.

Como nada hay seguro en este mundo, desconozco qué me deparará. Quizás termine siendo una ruina y una pérdida de tiempo. O que la cuenta corriente se multiplique. Lo que sí es seguro es que, para mí, habré ganado en satisfacción personal y experiencias. A lo que sea me adaptaré.

Por la mañana: labores domésticas, curación de contenidos, escritura.

Por la tarde: curación de contenidos, juego a la baraja con mi marido, tareas variadas de Hive, paseo con mi marido y el perrito.

The truth is that, at least in the city where I live, we are having an atypical summer, but the days of strong heat are few and far between. In the previous year there were heat waves that lasted for weeks at a time without being able to rest at night, but this year there have been very few.

I get so saturated with all this false apocalypse. On the one hand I want to be informed about what is happening in the world, it is part of my concern since I was a child. But the mass media irritate me to no end. Being able to easily pick up the empty messages, the enormous lies they try to make us swallow, and above all, seeing how many of those around me swallow them, makes me want to turn it off.

The truth is that I usually keep it on in the background without paying much attention to it. When I want to take the pulse of current affairs, I consult a digital newspaper or go on Twitter (now X). I try to get to know without getting too involved. This reduces anxiety and the desire to go and live in a cave. I remind myself that only the negative pays off and that's why it seems that everything is misfortune, but good things continue to happen. It's just that they don't make the news.

My reflection

Thinking as objectively as I can, devoid of emotions, I know that I have been and continue to be privileged. I have not always been aware of that reality, because one accommodates oneself to circumstances and stops seeing beyond one's nose.

During my childhood I didn't enjoy luxuries, I hardly remember holidays that weren't in the village because the accommodation there was my grandmother's house. But I didn't lack anything I needed either, there was always hot food on the table and the odd tasty dessert.

As I grew up there was no lack of education either, I had the freedom to choose to study what I wanted. This may seem logical for the time in which I grew up. However, I knew more than one person who had to study what their parents forced them to because they came from well-to-do families, where they had to follow tradition or continue the family business. The result was their future unhappiness.

I have been able to evolve, going through ups and downs. I have tried to learn from all of them. Until today, when I still have hot food on the table, this time in my own home. But, instead of staying locked in my bubble, I exercise the privilege of dedicating myself to helping others while at the same time taking care of my future.

Since nothing in this world is certain, I don't know what will happen to me. Perhaps I will end up being a ruin and a waste of time. Or that the current account will multiply. What is certain is that, for me, I will have gained personal satisfaction and experiences. Whatever it is, I will adapt to it.
