Hola, querido hiver.
Sigo disminuyendo la dispersión y concentrando las energías. La realidad juega en contra, como casi siempre. Cuantos más planes me haga, más planes fallarán. Pero no por eso me amilano, no señor. Sé que es el camino correcto, el que quiero recorrer.
En las calles se nota que mucha gente se ha marchado de vacaciones. Hay menos circulación de coches, más huecos para aparcar los coches, menos personas haciendo la compra. El tiempo parece más lento, como si la actividad hubiera reducido un par de marchas de repente. Me encuentro más acompasada con él que de costumbre, estoy más a gusto.
El bochorno que ha dejado una tormenta matutina aplana las energías. Menos mal que me ocupo de lo más movido a primera hora, siguiendo la táctica de comerme el sapo lo primero de todo. Así el día marcha cuesta abajo con la satisfacción de haber cumplido con lo importante.

La tarea del filósofo es algo de este tipo, que debe armonizar su propia voluntad con los sucesos, de modo que ni suceda en contra de nuestra voluntad algo de lo que sucede ni deje de suceder algo de lo que no sucede cuando nosotros queremos que sí.

Mi reflexión
¡Menudo trabalenguas! ¿Entendiste algo en la primera pasada? Porque yo lo he tenido que leer tres veces para pillar la idea… Sin embargo, el concepto es sencillo y poderoso: cambia el tener que hacer algo por querer hacerlo. Sin más.
Cuando dialogamos en nuestro interior con nosotros mismos, solemos utilizar esos tengo que con frecuencia. La mayoría de las veces es cierto, pues todos tenemos obligaciones que cumplir y hasta el levantarnos de la cama o comer es en ocasiones algo ineludible que no hacemos por elección sino por necesidad. Pero también es cierto que la manera en la que afrontamos nuestros deberes puede cambiar nuestra perspectiva y transformarlas en oportunidades para practicar las virtudes que deseamos alcanzar.
Un ejemplo sencillo es la típica pérdida del metro o el autobús. Maldecir al conductor, a nosotros o a la mala fortuna no hará que el siguiente llegue antes. En cambio, es una ocasión estupenda para relajarnos por unos minutos haciendo unas respiraciones profundas y sentir el estar presente. O para leer ese libro para el que nunca tienes tiempo. ¿A que esto suena mejor? Tú eliges cómo prefieres aprovecharlos.
Cambiar el ángulo de visión nos abre la puerta a un mundo diferente y estimulante, en el que pasamos de una actitud reactiva a otra activa, manteniendo las riendas de lo que nos sucede a la vez que fluimos con lo que no controlamos. Nos sentimos mejor y lo irradiamos a nuestro alrededor, es positivo para todos.

Por la mañana: paseo por el parque, labores domésticas, curación de contenidos, escritura.
Por la tarde: curación de contenidos, lectura de artículos de blog, tareas variadas de Hive, paseo con el perrito.

Hi, dear hiver.
I continue to reduce dispersion and concentrate my energies. Reality plays against me, as it almost always does. The more plans I make, the more plans fail. But that doesn't mean I'm getting discouraged, no sir. I know it's the right path, the one I want to go down.
In the streets you can see that many people have gone on holiday. There is less car traffic, more parking spaces, fewer people shopping. Time seems slower, as if activity has suddenly slowed down a couple of gears. I find myself more in step with it than usual, I feel more at ease.
The sultriness left behind by a morning thunderstorm flattens my energy. It's a good thing I take care of the most hectic things first thing in the morning, following the tactic of eating the toad first of all. So the day goes downhill with the satisfaction of having accomplished the important things.

My reflection
What a tongue twister! Did you understand anything on the first pass? Because I had to read it three times to get the idea... However, the concept is simple and powerful: change having to do something to wanting to do it. That's all.
When we talk inwardly with ourselves, we tend to use those have to often. Most of the time this is true, as we all have obligations to fulfil and even getting out of bed or eating is sometimes something unavoidable that we do not do out of choice but out of necessity. But it is also true that the way we approach our duties can change our perspective and transform them into opportunities to practice the virtues we wish to achieve.
A simple example is the typical missed underground or bus ride. Cursing the driver, ourselves or bad fortune will not make the next one arrive sooner. Instead, it is a great time to relax for a few minutes by taking a few deep breaths and feeling present. Or to read that book you never have time for. Doesn't that sound better? It's up to you how you prefer to use them.
Changing the angle of vision opens the door to a different and stimulating world, where we move from a reactive to an active attitude, holding the reins of what happens to us while flowing with what we don't control. We feel better and we radiate it around us - it's good for everyone.

Morning: walk in the park, housework, content curation, writing.
Afternoon: content curation, reading blog articles, various Hive tasks, walk with the doggy.
