Leicester City On Liverpool For The Title Race

No one can really predict that the English league table will look like this after 15 matches being played, although some big names can be seen in the top 4 such as the league leader Liverpool and Manchester City which were identified from the beginning of the season as the two strong contender for the title and as it stand now, Leicester City and Chelsea are another clubs that can be seen in the top 4 and the most interesting of it is that Manchester City are now loosing their spot to Leicester City in the second position while Chelsea is still maintaining their 4th position.

Leicester City now look like a strong contender for the title despite Liverpool moving at a fast speed, the Foxes form so far in the league has really surprised everyone as it is just 7 points separating them from Liverpool who is currently topping the league with 43 points while Leicester are sitting on the second position with 35 points with 26 on GD compared to 23 GD for Liverpool.

The team continues their winning run yesterday when they smack Watford at home from goals from Vardy who is now leading the scoring chart with 13 goals and Maddison, with Manchester City occupying the position after defeating Burnley 4-1 in front of their home fans, a win or a draw is all Leicester City need to move back to the position. Watford who were without a manager spend most of the first half defending Liecester City from scoring and while the Foxes were not too clinical in front of goal in the opening minutes. Perez had the chance to put the team ahead in just 10 minutes into the game from Vardy pass but his effort went wide.

The chance finally came in the 52 minutes when Evans was fouled in the box from Maddison cross and Vardy converted it to a goal from the spot before James Maddison doubled the lead in the stoppage time with a brilliant goal. Liverpool on the other end extended their impressive run with another 5-2 win against Everton with goals from Origi, Mane, Shaqiri, Wijnaldum all on target for the Reds. It now means that Liverpool must not relent as Leicester City continues to with their good form while Vardy has now found the back of the net is 7 outings for the club now and it doesn't look like he is going to stop very soon. Leicester city next game will be away to Aston Villa while Liverpool will also visit Bournemonth.
