The morning had the mellow magic of a Sunday done right. I pedaled lazily toward Jungfernheide, the breeze brushing past like a soft whisper. I had overslept—needed to repay a sleep debt—so the sunrise was long gone, the sun already lounging above the park by the time I hit my route. Still, I slowed down at the water, drew a deep breath, and let my mind drift with some quiet breathing and meditation. On the way back, I took a longer, unfamiliar path just for the sake of switching things up. Back home, I grabbed a light breakfast, then did absolutely nothing except stretch out on my terrace, book in hand, laziness in full bloom. Under a bridge, I stumbled on a rotten bike that was dragged from the water, resting in front of a graffiti that read, “Hand in Hand – A Lifetime Long!” That bike had clearly finished its lifetime!
Der Morgen hatte die milde Magie eines richtig guten Sonntags. Ich fuhr gemütlich mit dem Rad Richtung Jungfernheide, der Wind strich sanft an mir vorbei. Weil ich Schlaf nachholen musste, war ich zu spät für den Sonnenaufgang losgefahren. Die Sonne stand schon hoch über dem Park, als ich meine Strecke lief. Trotzdem hielt ich am Wasser inne, atmete tief durch und machte entspannte Atem- und Meditationsübungen. Zur Abwechslung nahm ich einen längeren, ungewohnten Weg zurück. Zu Hause gab’s ein kleines Frühstück, danach nur noch Terrasse, Buch, völlige Faulheit. Unter einer Brücke entdeckte ich ein verrottetes Fahrrad, das jemand aus dem Wasser gezogen hatte. Dahinter prangte ein Graffiti mit dem Satz: „Hand in Hand – Ein Leben lang!“ Das Fahrrad hatte sein Leben wohl längst hinter sich!
