The crisp morning air kissed my cheeks as I pedaled through the quiet streets, leaving the warmth of home behind. Two weeks had passed since my last ride, and it was about time to return to my favorite retreat, Volkspark Jungfernheide. The frost had finally melted, freeing the small lake from its icy grip. I squatted by the water, breathing deeply, letting the calm settle in. Around me, birds busied themselves with courtship and nesting, their songs weaving through the stillness. Tiny buds burst open on every branch, proof that winter had lost its fight. Spring had definitely arrived. Later, back home, I stretched out on the terrace, the sun wrapping me in its nearly 20-degree embrace. Pure bliss.
Die kühle Morgenluft küsste meine Wangen, während ich durch die stillen Straßen radelte und die Wärme des Hauses hinter mir ließ. Zwei Wochen war es her, höchste Zeit für eine Rückkehr in den Volkspark Jungfernheide. Der Frost war verschwunden, der kleine See endlich eisfrei. Am Ufer ließ ich die Ruhe auf mich wirken, atmete tief durch. Überall um mich herum flirteten und nisteten die Vögel, ihre Lieder schwebten durch die Stille. Knospen brachen überall auf, als Beweis, dass der Winter seinen Kampf verloren hatte. Der Frühling war definitiv da. Später, zurück zu Hause, streckte ich mich auf der Terrasse aus, die Sonne hüllte mich in ihre fast 20 Grad warme Umarmung. Pures Glück.
