There was no need to hesitate this morning, the crisp, clear sunrise called me outside. I left early, eager to walk the Mierendorff Island route. My breath formed small clouds in the cold air, each exhale matching my steady pace. Breathing and meditation exercises made the silence even sharper, every sound more vivid. A fox crossed my path first, moving like a shadow between the trees. Birds soon followed, dozens of them, each with their own rhythm, their own reason for being there. A heron, unbothered by my presence, dipped into the water, shaking off droplets like scattered pearls. Back home, I stretched out on the terrace, the sun warm against my skin, almost surreal at nearly 20 degrees. The contrast was striking, morning frost, afternoon heat, one day, two seasons.

Ich zögerte keine Sekunde, der klare Sonnenaufgang zog mich nach draußen. Früh brach ich auf, um endlich wieder die Mierendorffinselrunde zu drehen. Mein Atem bildete kleine Wolken in der kalten Luft, jeder Ausstoß passte zum Rhythmus meiner Schritte. Atem- und Meditationsübungen ließen die Stille noch schärfer wirken, jedes Geräusch lebendiger. Ein Fuchs kreuzte zuerst meinen Weg, lautlos wie ein Schatten zwischen den Bäumen. Bald folgten die Vögel, Dutzende, jeder mit seinem eigenen Takt, seinem eigenen Daseinsgrund. Ein Reiher, unbeeindruckt von meiner Anwesenheit, tauchte ins Wasser, schüttelte Tropfen ab wie verstreute Perlen. Zurück zu Hause ließ ich mich auf der Terrasse nieder, die Sonne warm auf meiner Haut, fast surreal bei knapp 20 Grad. Der Kontrast war verblüffend, Morgenfrost, Nachmittagswärme, ein Tag, zwei Jahreszeiten.
