Friday ☀️ 13132

Overnight, the temperature took a ten-degree leap, landing just above freezing by morning. Suddenly, the world felt different. The sky, once crisp and clear, was now a dull, heavy gray. My jacket, perfect yesterday, clung too warm to my shoulders, sweat breaking faster than before. Still, the hike was worth it. I took the longer Tiergarten route, circling the Victory Column, where everything looked muted without the sun. Traffic crawled, public transport was on strike. At a still-frozen lake, I paused for a brief breathing meditation. On my way into the Tiergarten, I took a shot of the big pink Umlauftank at the Wasserversuchsanstalt, standing stark against a sky that, just minutes later, swallowed the sun whole.

Über Nacht sprang die Temperatur um zehn Grad nach oben und lag am Morgen knapp über null. Plötzlich war alles anders. Der Himmel, gestern noch klar, wirkte heute trüb und schwer. Meine Jacke fühlte sich zu warm an, der Schweiß kam schneller als sonst. Trotzdem lohnte sich die Wanderung. Ich nahm die längere Tiergarten-Route, umrundete die Siegessäule, alles wirkte gedämpft ohne die Sonne. Viel mehr Verkehr als sonst um die Zeit, denn der öffentliche Nahverkehr streikte. An einem noch gefrorenen See hielt ich für eine kurze Atemmeditation inne. Auf dem Weg in den Tiergarten fotografierte ich den großen pinken Umlauftank der Wasserversuchsanstalt vor einem in dem Moment noch klaren Himmel, bis die Wolken sich schlagartig verdichteten und die Sonne für den Rest des Tages verschluckten.
