The morning was a crisp -6°C, the sky a perfect canvas of clear blue, and the sun rising with a gentle promise of warmth. I set off on the long route through the Palace Gardens, venturing beyond into the silent expanse of the Schleusenland. Snow clung to the ground like a soft, quiet blanket, making each step feel twice as heavy. There the world is still wrapped in a winter wonderland, with everything still and serene. Halfway through, I stopped at the loudly rushing shiplock weir for a short breathing meditation. As I continued back, a heron, puffed up against the cold, sat silently in the shadows on a branch above a small lake, its feathers fluffed up for warmth, posing for a picture of winter's quiet resilience.

Der Morgen war frostig mit -6°C, der Himmel ein makelloses Blau, und die Sonne stieg sanft mit dem Versprechen von Wärme. Ich ging heute die lange Tour durch den Schlossgarten und dahinter durchs Schleusenland. Der Schnee lag wie eine ruhige Decke auf dem Boden, jeder Schritt fühlte sich doppelt so schwer an. Die Welt ist dort immernoch ein Winterwunderland, still und friedlich. Auf halber Strecke hielt ich am grossen rauschenden Schleusenwehr für eine Atemmeditation. Auf dem Rückweg traf ich wieder einen fluffigen Reiher, der sich auf einem Ast über einem kleinen zugefrorenen See niedergelassen hatte. Seine Federn aufgeplustert, um sich vor der Kälte zu schützen.
