Woohoo, –8 degrees Celsius this morning, but the sky was clear, and the sunrise painted the horizon in soft pastels. The Tiergarten route was today’s pick, a winter wonderland draped in white. Every creek and lake there lay frozen, locked in silence, the crisp air sharpening every breath. The sun did its best to take the edge off the cold, and for a while, I almost forgot how biting it was, until I started my breathwork by the lake. My lungs wasted no time in reminding me not to overdo it. On the way, I managed to capture some beautiful shots. Here’s one beautyful view to get you into the winter mood and another of something rare: the frozen shiplock weir, sealed tight in ice with a reflection of the sunrise in the distance.

Woohoo, –8 Grad Celsius heute Morgen, aber der Himmel war klar, und die Sonne tauchte den Horizont in sanfte Pastellfarben. Die Tiergarten-Route war die Wahl des Tages, ein Winterwunderland in Weiß. Alle Bäche und Seen dort lagen still und zugefroren, die Luft scharf wie ein Skalpell. Die Sonne machte die Kälte erträglicher, und für einen Moment vergaß ich fast, wie eisig es war, bis ich am See mit meiner Atemübung begann. Meine Lungen warnten mich sofort, es nicht zu übertreiben. Auf dem Weg gelangen mir ein paar schöne Aufnahmen. Hier ist ein wunderschöner Blick über den See, um euch in Winterstimmung zu b ringen, und eine zweite von etwas eher Seltenem: dem zugefrorenen Schleusenwehr, fest versiegelt im Eis.
