The morning bit into my skin with it’s four degrees below freezing, with a wind so sharp it seemed to whistle through the cracks of the world. The sky stretched above, a crystal-clear canvas, untouched by the haze of city life. I took a morning walk along the River Spree, the light just beginning to blush the horizon. With each step, I paired deep, meditative breaths with the rhythm of the waking fauna, the birds chirping, rabbits rustling in the undergrowth, life stirring all around. Returning home, I sank into the warmth, letting my body unfurl through stretches and gentle exercises, coaxing out any stiffness left by the cold. By evening, Berlin lit up in an almost apocalyptic blaze, what an epic, fire-red sunset, beautiful but unsettling, like a silent echo of the wildfires raging in Los Angeles. Nature, in its quiet grandeur, seemed to be reminding us of its power, a mix of serenity and warning in every fleeting moment.
