The third day of the new year marked a milestone I never thought I’d reach: 365 days of uninterrupted Actifit reports, each one featuring at least one photo. It felt like running a marathon and finally crossing the finish line. Funny enough, I hadn’t even planned it this way. I’d intended to start strong on January 1, 2024, but for reasons I can no longer recall, January 3 went unposted. So, my streak officially began on January 4, and today, it’s complete. Tomorrow feels like my personal New Year’s Day in terms of this commitment. The day itself wasn’t particularly eventful: cold, dry, and ordinary. The route through the Tiergarten brought some clarity, punctuated by some meditative breathing excercises at Neuer See. There, a chaotic flock of ducks mirrored the whirlwind of thoughts in my head, darting, diving, and swimming in every direction, as if they too were chasing a yearlong streak. There’s something grounding about showing up for yourself, even when the day feels as unremarkable as the weather. In the end, it wasn’t about perfection; it was about persistence. In some way it was just … Zen 🧘🏽 Many thanks to everyone who accompanied me on this trip, even if only for a few days from time to time.
