The morning was anything but inviting, rain-soaked river banks, a biting chill, and skies heavy with gloom. I braved the weather for a quick walk, crossing two bridges before retreating to the warmth of home. With a steaming cup of tea in hand, I settled into a slow Sunday. The day unfolded quietly: phone calls to catch up, photos edited with care, and a few small chores ticked off the list. The picture I’m sharing isn’t from today but from yesterday, a striking view of the final demolition of the last staircase of the once-massive cube that housed the flue gas desulfurization plant. From this angle, the structure’s gradual disappearance felt even more surreal, a vivid reminder of how even the colossal can crumble. The second shot is a look back on the building at the beginning of the year.
