This morning started off crisp and cool, but thankfully, the temperature hovered above ten degrees, making it perfect for a morningwalk. I had just an hour before the rain rolled in according to the forecast, so I decided to head out for a short walk to the palace gardens today. The first half of the walk was peaceful, though by the time I reached the second leg, a light spray had already begun. Still, I managed to get back before being drenched, just a bit misted by the drizzle. Over the past few wet days something new grew inside the old hollow tree I call the Dreamcatcher’s Nest. There, nestled in the damp wood, a vivid yellow-orange "Chicken of the Woods" mushroom had sprouted, something I hadn’t seen in that spot before. It's funny how a little rain brings out nature’s surprises. That reminds me of the mushroom season being around the corner already!

Sometimes a rain shower can be a good break, especially if the weather has been hot!👍😊
