It was a warm Wednesday morning after a cooler night that let me catch up on some much-needed sleep. I started my day with a quick stroll around the block—just a brief taste of fresh air before the marathon of walking that awaited me on a job at the Berlin fairgrounds. But what really made my morning was spotting a heron basking in the sunlight. Watching it take off with such grace and ease was the perfect little moment of calm before diving into the busy day ahead.
