Cobblestones are not always so colorful that the brain would perceive them as a pattern of colored pixels and try to give the patterns an artistic meaning. Cobblestones are usually made of stones of the same color, and therefore the most visually interesting thing about them is the shape they are arranged in and the grid they form. Too bad I didn't catch these beautiful colored cobblestones after a rainfall, which would have cleaned them from the dust of the street and probably highlighted their colorfulness even more.
