My mountain hikes no. 26 – Morskie Oko
[ENG]
If someone ever made a list of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the world and didn't include the Tatra lake called Morskie Oko, I would definitely say that they made a serious mistake. Morskie Oko is not large because it has a surface area of only 34.93 ha, but it is relatively deep because at its deepest point it is 50.8 meters deep. And the water level is 1395 meters above sea level. To walk around Morskie Oko you have to walk 2.5 kilometers, which takes a little less than an hour. Probably every Pole has been to this beautiful lake at least once, I have been there at least a few, if not a dozen times, but I have not spent the night there often. The PTTK shelter by Morskie Oko is always very crowded, so the fact that we managed to book an entire room for one night from Sunday to Monday was considered a miracle. The plan was ambitious because we assumed that during this trip we would conquer the highest peak in Poland, namely Rysy. Unfortunately, after two intensive days of hiking described in previous entries, we simply ran out of energy to climb Rysy. Our withdrawal from climbing Rysy was also related to the not-so-good weather conditions. The weather was beautiful, but about a week earlier it had snowed in the mountains and all TOPR reports up until that day had advised against climbing the shaded northern slopes, and the trail to Rysy leads along just such a slope. In order to make the most of our stay at Morskie Oko, we decided to leave our backpacks in the shelter and take a nice morning walk around the lake without any weights. Since it was already late autumn, the sun was very low above the horizon, barely rising above the peaks surrounding the lake, and if you wanted to look at peaks such as Rysy, Mięguszowiecki Szczyt, or Mnich, you had to squint hard. Just like in the morning, right after waking up, the shelter was completely empty, when we returned from our walks around Morskie Oko, the shelter was literally swarming with tourists. After eating a second breakfast, we took a last souvenir photo and set off back to the parking lot, leaving the conquest of Rysy for another occasion.

Wow
This place is fantastic
It’s awesome!
Lakes are always beautiful for me. I just want crystal clear water in it. Also, I have phobia of falling down in it. I can swim 😂. By the way, the building Infront of lake is looking gothic yet captivating. ❤️
Congratulations @olusiu! You received the biggest smile and some love from TravelFeed! Keep up the amazing blog. 😍

Hi @olusiu! This is @ninaeatshere. Thank you very much for posting in the Worldmappin Community!
We would like to offer a few recommendations. We have seen that you haven't interacted much with other users within the community, which is very important for the whole Hive ecosystem. It would be interesting to dedicate some time to responding to those who stop by to give us feedback and, in addition, to visiting other content creators like yourself and showing them your support by commenting on their adventures. Of course, this is just a suggestion.
Additionally, the Pin code you provided for pinmapple is no longer valid, as that web domain no longer exists, currently, the project is being carried out by Worldmappin. Including the code just once is enough, regardless of the frontend you use, that's up to you, although we recommend getting it from https://worldmappin.com/
We always read the answers that all of you leave us in the comments, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to write us, I hope we can interact more often. =D
We also invite you read all the rules of our community here.
