Ruthless Bayern Munich.
I am not surprised to see Bayern Munich ruthlessly thrash Salzburg. For what's worth, I respected the fight Salzburg gave Bayern Munich and still, Bayern Munich came out too strong against Salzburg for the second leg and the game ended in a rout. I already predicted the game to end in 7 goals after I noticed Bayern Munich went 4 goals up already in the first half.
Lewandowski got his hat-trick but Muller wasn't left out either as he grabbed a brace with Sane and Gnabry getting their share of the spoil. Salzburg got one back but it's merely a consolation goal and ego-boosting for the goalscorer than anything else. Lewandowski turned up the heat and Salzburg ran out of the kitchen.
For what's worth, they showed a good fight and it has been a great experience for them so far. I won't lie, I enjoyed Salzburg's hunger, desire and determination. They were not fazed because it was Bayern Munich and they gave everything. The inexperience of Maximilian Wöber cost them as he gave away 2 penalties and no one must do that against a Bayern Munich side that is hungry for goals.
Lewandowski was restricted in the first leg in Austria but in the first minute, he had a snap shot which the goalkeeper did so well to save low to his left. That was a sign for Salzburg that this is a different Bayern Munich side.
Maximilian Wöber gave away the first penalty after a clumsy challenge on Lewandowski inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot and Lewandowski sent the goalkeeper the wrong way. Salzburg had a chance inside the box after but it was shocking to see that Nicolas Seiwald couldn't work Neuer from that close range as he was unable to score. It wasn't long after that Maximilian Wöber clipped Lewandowski yet again. After a VAR check, it was said that the touch wasn't on the line but inside the box. Lewandowski stepped up again and put his effort in the same place as the first penalty to race Bayern Munich to a 2-0 lead under 20 minutes.
In less than 3 minutes, a perfect clearance by Neuer at the back saw the ball chased down by Lewandowski. Salzburg's goalkeeper attempted clearance was bundled into the path of Lewandowski and he only needed his thighs to direct the ball into the back of the net after it came off the post, to make it 3-0 and a hat-trick for Lewandowski. Another defensive error by Salzburg cost them and this time around it was Camara who was bundled off the ball before Gnabry was found inside the box. His shot found the back of the net from such a tight angle to race Bayern Munich 4-0 up.
Muller made it 5-0 after he turned and smashed home his shot with precision and accuracy. It was a classic Muller goal where the ball would come to him and he would make the most of it. Kjaergaard managed to score a brilliant consolation goal after a swift counterattack saw him receive the pass at the edge of the box. He went for power and smashed his shot into the top left corner of the post with Neuer clearly beaten for accuracy.
It soon turned into a training session for Bayern Munich after Sane and Muller combined so well before Muller finished off the move with a cool and composed finish. The rout was completed after another sloppy pass from Salzburg saw Bayern take over and Lewandowski's clever back pass sets up Sane and with a tighter angle than the one Gnabry scored from, Sane made the most of it and blasted his shot into the back of the net with nothing the goalkeeper could have done about it.
The game finished 7-1 and that's a mouth-watering 8-2 aggregate. Bayern Munich marched on victoriously.

Thank you, Posh.
I was going to write a prediction post in which I say that Bayern will either barely win/lose or win by a 3-4 goals margin. I DIDN'T EXPECT IT WOULD BE SEVEN! Must have been tough for Brazilians watching that match result, and Barca fans watching the aggregate result tho.
Hahahaha I can imagine. Germany v Brazil and Bayern Munich v Barcelona hahahaha. Bayern Munich turned it up. Impressive.
men it was something else. I call yesterday night a disciplinary night for salzburg.right from the onset, bayern gave them no breathing space at all.
🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣 they smothered them.
