Living Legends Who Turned The Game Around.

The connection between Mane and Salah has improved over the years and they have this basic understanding of each other. I've never seen Mane raise his arms when Salah decides to aim for the goal rather than pass and vice versa. They both understand their importance to the team and that's all that matters. Their combined effort gave Liverpool a quick turnaround and that's stuff for legends and champions.

Both players are legends and would go down in the history of Liverpool as legends even if they choose not to retire there. Salah was chasing his 150th Liverpool goal and he got it to turn the game around for Liverpool after Norwich went ahead through Rashica's effort that came off Joel Matip. Mane restored parity to show his importance to this side, especially at a time they don't need to slip further behind as Manchester City kept pushing on. These two cult heroes' goals proved decisive for Liverpool as Manchester City eventually dropped points against Tottenham.

It was a brilliant goal from Mane and an equally brilliant effort from another legend, Salah before Luis Diaz rounded the win with a dinked effort into the back of the net to turn the game around after being behind.

Liverpool made 7 changes to the side that won against Inter Milan midweek for the Champions League tie. They got Henderson back into the side after being out for a while due to injury. Gomez also got back into the side but the sensation of the team that replaced Jota in attack with Mane and Salah to his side was Luis Diaz as he got his second start for Liverpool.

It took Liverpool a while before they found their rhythm despite dominating the play and having better chances. Norwich showed character and fight which you would expect of a team that wants to beat the drop but it wasn't enough against this Liverpool side who had to rally round late into the game to beat Norwich by 3-1.

I enjoyed the effort Norwich put in and they knew better which was why they attacked Liverpool so early into the game. Alisson was smart enough to tip over a dipping effort before the linesman came to the rescue for Liverpool as Norwich scored but it was correctly flagged for offside.

It was a game I expected Liverpool to win but Norwich didn't make it easier for them. This is the Norwich side that has lost against all the top 6 teams in the league this season and also conceded 28 goals in the process. It's not surprising why they are where they are in the league currently but I admired their attitude and belief ever since they showed that desperation against Manchester United.

It would take a lot for Norwich to escape relegation this season because they are not clinical enough. Pukki has had a poor return despite boasting of 6 goals already this season for Norwich but he has only scored once in 11 games. If they want to beat the drop, they would have to do better as Pukki missed some chances in this game and when you play against Liverpool or any top side, moments like that should define the game where they would take their chances. With Newcastle getting a draw against West Ham and Burnley and Watford both winning too, Norwich are sinking farther. To make it worse, others above them have games in hand.

Mo' Salah got his 150th goal for Liverpool and that's the stuff of legends. It wasn't even just the goal but the timing of it shortly after Mane restored parity. Mane and Salah can never be forgotten by the Liverpool faithful. Salah has written his name in the history books for Liverpool after becoming the second-fastest player to reach 150 goals after Hunt. It's not surprising to see how talented Salah is. You don't have to like him but you would do well to respect him or else, he would punish you and he isn't slowing down at all.

If Liverpool would overtake Manchester City in the league, it can be traced to moments like this where Mane and Salah turned the game around to gain the valuable 3 points. They have cut City's lead at the top of the table to 6 points yet they still have one game in hand which IF they win, they would cut it to 3 points. Liverpool's living legends are the ones who can give Liverpool this title if City slips up yet again.

I would like Liverpool win their game in hand, that way the title race will still be on. And it will make the Liverpool vs Mancity game all the more interesting.

Also I think there was a time Mane was "supposedly angry" at Salah for not passing the ball. Or at least that's what the media said.

Yes, that was a long time ago and even when he threw tantrum against Klopp. He got better with time and he overlook things a bit more now.

Yes, it would be intense and exciting.
