A mild winter day here on the Rideau River. Definitely not cold enough for 4-8 " ice. No ice fishing this weekend and maybe none this winter. No skating or snowshoeing either... at least not on the river. Oh well ... maybe next winter ?

My Fitbit is no longer synching so I guesss that's the end of Actifit fir me. I'll try to keep walking my 10 km each day.

It looks quite chilly to me! Sorry the fit bit won't sync. Acfit never worked on my old system. I haven't tried on this new android.

That’s about as warm as I can take it… anything over 80 F and I need to be in AC 🥶

We're inside with AC, but the weather is not humid at all, so I'm comfortable. It beats the damp cold at home in Pennsylvania.

I imagine that the genetics of the dogs do not freeze with that coat I imagine that they must have some care or not to expose them so much to the snow.

Yes… they come from wolves… so they like the cold winters.

Canis lupus familiaris

The dog (Canis familiaris or Canis lupus familiaris) is a domesticated descendant of the wolf.

Source: Dog - Wikipedia

The dog, Canis familiaris, is a direct descendent of the gray wolf, Canis lupus: In other words, dogs as we know them are domesticated wolves. Not only their behavior changed; domestic dogs are different in form from wolves, mainly smaller and with shorter muzzles and smaller teeth.

Search instead for are foxes decended from wolves ?

As cousins to wolves and dogs, foxes are a great model for dog domestication. They diverged from the wolf lineage about 12 million years ago (a brief time period, evolutionarily). It is difficult to study the process of the dog's domestication since its wild relatives, the fox and wolf, are now different species. May 9, 2019

Update your fitbit software, do a fresh -happy face- boot while plugged in and charging if an older version or a fresh boot on the new ones, - re-add your fitbit to your fitbit account as an added measure if you want - , [this part fixed it for me] then try keeping your Bluetooth on when syncing your data on the ActiFit page. From there, hopefully it prompts you to log in, after your steps are synced on the newly updated firmware and updated fitbit app, and in doing so, connect the two and sync the steps to the top of your posting page.
Let me know if any of that helps or if any confusion! I had a similar issue and this fixed it :)

Additionally, the Charge 4 old fitbit I've never had problems with, only the newer ones. So I've been constantly buying/fixing this old one and it does the trick. The new ones seem glitchy and too much work for me when I get all the same features for 200$ less and an actifit-able experience 😋

Thanks… that worked, I’m back in business… 9,000 steps already today. Hope it keeps working
