My new strategy to win at sports betting + 9 basketball bets for today
With more than 100 basketball games around the world every day, there are dozens of opportunities to place value bets for a return on your investment.
I have been in the world of sports betting for eight years and have played with different tactics such as handicaps, accumulators, safe bets and, recently, sports arbitrage.
In my experience, what works best is to have rules and goals. Rules to follow and goals to achieve.
My new strategy is to follow five steps to the letter to reach the goal.
The five golden rules
Select an odd number of bets: this way the daily result will have a percentage value of less or more than 50%. With an odd number of bets, you will never draw. The number of daily bets can be 3, 5, 7 or 9.
Always use the handicap instead of the moneyline: you will have access to odds higher than 1.83 when you bet on the favourite and you will be able to cover yourself when you choose the underdog.
Always use the same stake: this is for discipline and to avoid emotionality. For example, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100. It's not about supporting your team, it's about choosing the winning bet. Play to win.
Work with a three-figure starting bank: if you want to be profitable in betting start with an amount that allows you to rollover quickly to withdraw winnings. At the same time, you should be covered in case you have a bad week. For the purposes of this strategy, the minimum bankroll should be 250 if you are using a 5 stake.
Withdraw winnings: every time you complete a rollover of 100 bets you must generate winnings and start again with the minimum stake. If you decide to place 5 bets per day and play consistently every day, you will reach this number by the end of the third week. Don't be tempted to add to your bankroll with winnings to increase your stake as this will increase your appetite for profit and may lead you to take unnecessary risks.
The goal
This tactic aims to double your investment each month. I usually take a week off to unwind, enjoy my money and then get back in the game.
As for my daily routine, I analyse my bets calmly, applying technical analysis (team stats, player stats, bookmaker odds) and fundamental analysis (the context of the game).
You can use your own bets or choose from my daily forecasts, the important thing is that you apply the golden rules. One last tip: avoid playing when you are feeling euphoric or depressed.
