Manchester United in the Mud 4 this season? (it's been a long time).

I've been away for way too long but I hope I'm welcome back in here?

I've been going through so much lately and I just had to stopping working on this particular blog but thank God for life and the opportunity to be back here with all my lovely friends and pals.

A lot had happened over the time I had spend away from here but the most important and most terrible one is the war currently going on in Ukraine, I can't even imagine what youths like myself over there would be thinking with their heads in the middle of a deadly war such as this but I trust God for a superior intervention soon.

Yeah!
Once a United fan, Always a Red Devils Fan!

The situation surrounding Manchester United at the moment is really terrible but at the same time, I am not the type to deny my team because we're facing a bad time, no!

I had stayed calm for months now following United's performances back to back and it's been a rise and fall situation for months now. The arrival of Ralph as the interim manager kind of raised my hopes and to some extent, I am actually happy because he truly came with something needful and useful which is a play pattern which we didn't have under Ole but what I get to ask myself now is....

Do we have the right players to play Ralph's play pattern?

Personally, I would say United currently doesn't have the desired or right players to deliver great results with the weapons Ralph has a coach.

SHALL WE LOOK INTO THE SQUAD CRUCIALLY?!

I haven't said much yet, but I'm sure reading this as a patriotic fan of Manchester United, you shouldn't find it difficult to understand my plight here...

On many occasions, I had watched this man (Ralph) talked about his team and he's been deadly positive at every point in time which is a quality of a reasonable Manager and yet with him knowing the faults and flaws of his players, I still haven't seen him talk ill of any of them, he would rather have a player benched than talk ill of him. He has done that with the likes of Maguire and Rashford and to some extent, it really pleases me...

I had said it before , and I'll continue to say it, first of all, the thing I perceive to be United's problem now isn't so vivid on the pitch, perhaps some internal staffs that ought to be investing tactically in the team aren't and secondly, coming back to the vivid problems on the pitch, it's just so obvious that a good defensive midfielder is really needed as the team can't really rely on Fred for all matches.

For me, not even Scott nor Pogba is good as a DM for United, they are more with the attacking force than helping the defenders.

I feel we currently need a DM such as Kante of Chelsea that can move the ball and create a very aggressive attacking move and at the same time, can always run back to help defenders, but to secure someone like Kante would really be a lot because the guy is really strong and creative.

As usual, this is the man that always takes the media hit for the team, well, not so bad, he also takes more of the media glories too and I would say he deserves all the accolades coming to him at any point in time.

It would be OK to say that he must be quite frustrated being a United player at the moment but it's normal for a team to fall but it can also easily gets one frustrated if the team refuses to come back up as early as possible.

The game against Tottenham some days ago that was won for United by Ronaldo's hat-trick really gave me hope that something could still be fine for United this season because there was so much strength and confidence in that match even though the defensive problem still persisted, it was still a relief to see the attackers doing justice to the fine chances created.

The second leg against Atletico Madrid in the Champions league wouldn't have sealed my trust in United even if they had won the match and proceeded to the quarter finals.

It's not a news that Atletico Madrid is a team that enjoys defensive game and for you to break them, you don't just need a strong attacking force but also a solid defence line, and for United, the attack was really active and heavy but the defence was not the one that could be trusted. Only this fact made the lost hope in United having anything beautiful in the UCL this season.

BACK TO EPL!

United is obviously left to fight for a space in the top 4 with 9 matches to go. I was quite happy to watch Liverpool smashed Arsenal yesterday but then, Arsenal still has two outstanding matches, and that's just a huge headache for United at the moment and at the same time, United can't afford to lose any lame match at the moment but how? With this bad defense?

We kept on building more attacks and even beautiful ones. Having the likes of Ronaldo, Cavani, Rashford, Sancho, Bruno, Lingard, and even the Young star Elanga, would only keep the hopes for goals so high but then United is scoring that much why?

Creativity is definitely the problem!

Bruno Fernandes actually tries on many occasions even though he loses the ball a lot, he still create more chances than ever but it can't just be only him in the midfield who should push attack as it is needed. A better replacement for Fred and Scott is really needed as both players, as far as I am concerned aren't supposed to be in the first team for United.

Antony Elanga is really a great discovery and yet a promising player but is he really a need for United at the moment? I don't think so!

Ralph hasn't admitted yet if he'll be the next head coach for Manchester United next season but I hope whoever is coming in would be wise enough to see the problems laying in the players too....

Can't believe I had typed this much, it's just to tell you how frustrated I am about Manchester United at the moment. But I'm sure there are better days ahead!

The problem is Ralph is going upstairs and is helping find the next coach. He knows what is required as if anyone would know he should. You have 3 difficult games in the remaining 9 and the way United play probably all will be difficult. How many they can win in the final 9 is the problem and why top 4 looks problematic. I saw your comment earlier and the team has to be rebuilt and that takes time. Changing one or two players wont fix the problem and has to start with the coach first. They cannot buy any new payers until they have a coach in place and that is not easy as who would want this job? 10 years ago many would have jumped at this opportunity but this is not United from 10 years ago and they have fallen down the list badly. No one is scared of playing this team and when they draw or lose they see it as points dropped.
9 remaining fixtures Everton, Brentford, Brighton, Norwich, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. I honestly can see them winning 4 and the rest who knows. There are no easy games from these due to teams fighting for survival.

I honestly can't disagree with you about us winning most 4 out of the 9 left but in terms of the coach, I feel Ralph should be able to bring in someone more tactical with much promise, perhaps Erik Ten Hag.

Is Ten Hag the right person though as this decision is the most important decision they make as if they get it wrong that is another year gone and most likely a whole heap of new players who may not be suited to the next coach coming in. They are in a tricky position and this is not an easy fix.

Yes. But I don't see any big name available for United as a coach. I've read many speculations on Pochettino but I don't just know why I feel the guy is a wrong move though.

It's good to have you back and also read your post. Thank God for life and we could use another strategic analysis and posts as yours.

Absolutely, I had high hopes with Ralf and he is not afraid of making the tough decisions. We have already ranted together on the problems we are facing, let me just leave it at that 😂😂😂😂.
