On 8th of February was held the general elections in Pakistan. Although a number of sudden twists, the main outcome of the election was not out even on the second day. Election in one seat has been cancelled owing to the death of a candidate; the other seat’s results have been annulled.

At last today, the day of Sunday, the announcement of the final results has ended. In Dawn News, over 100 seats in the lower house of the National Assembly, the country's parliament has been secured by the independent candidates. The PML-N of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has secured 75 seats while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s PPP has 54 seats.

For the purpose of forming a government on his own, any political party is to win seats of more than 134 out of the 266 seat in the National Assembly. In Pakistan no single party could get a majority in the February 8th elections. The political party deliberations and talks have started in such a situation.

As per the reports of Dunya News and Geo TV, the Election Commission has issued the orders of re-polling at various polling stations in the National Assembly constituencies 88, 18 and 90 across the country. Re-polling will be done on February 15.

On Saturday earlier, Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff said that to the country stability is better than anarchy and polarization in politics. Since a long time the powerful military of Pakistan has had extensive political influence. No party being able to get a majority in the general elections, General Saad Asim Munir stated, " what is now necessary in the country is the power that is stable." 'the shadow of rehabilitation is significant. '

The political influence of the Pakistani powerful armed forces is vast. There have been generals in rule for a long period. However, no party obtained a majority in the general elections. Syed Asim Munir says thus, ' The country needs stable government other than chaos and polarization. ' The ghost of rehabilitation is a necessity. '

It is a critical moment in Pakistan politics. The result of the negotiations and the emergence of a government will greatly influence the country's future path. The military, a looming background presence, is responsible for major changes in the political scene. Time will prove how Pakistan will handle these difficulties and in the end upwards of a steady and prosperous future.
