Preparando el viaje [Esp][Eng] | My Actifit Report Card: March 13 2025

Sobre ayer realmente, que fue cuando estuve caminando y dando vueltas para comenzar a arreglar estas cosas, porque hoy ha sido lamentablemente mas sedentario.

Buenos, mis vacaciones de primavera están por comenzar. Es una costumbre que comencé hace pocos años debido a que mi cumpleaños es a finales de marzo, entonces me he propuesto pasarlo como más me gusta, viajando para algún sitio y probando la gastronomía de lugares diferentes.

He tenido la suerte de viajar acompañada durante esas ocasiones, así que es una forma divertida de pasar esa fecha con amigos muy queridos que difícilmente veo en otras ocasiones.

Así que este viaje es uno de los que mas me entusiasma del año, porque sé que voy a estar rodeada de gente bonita, que conozco de toda la vida y con quienes adoro compartir en persona, algo que es muy difícil de conseguir por las absurdas circunstancias que hemos tenido que enfrentar todos.

Travel Preparation

About yesterday actually, which was when I was out walking and walking around to start figuring these things out, because today has unfortunately been more sedentary.

Well, my spring break is about to begin. It is a habit that I started a few years ago because my birthday is at the end of March, so I have decided to spend it as I like the most, traveling somewhere and tasting the gastronomy from different places.

I've been lucky enough to travel accompanied during those occasions, so it's a fun way to spend that date with dear friends that I hardly see on other occasions.

So this trip is one of the most exciting of the year, because I know that I will be surrounded by beautiful people that I have known all my life and with whom I love to meet face to face, something that is very difficult to achieve due to the absurd circumstances that we have all had to face.

Por esto, cuando conseguí un ratito para salir ayer a la calle, encontrándome con un radiante día y un cielo azul despejado, tras haber pasado una helada noche de lluvias, me llené de positivismo. Comienza a pintar bien la cosa.

Tenía pensado acercarme a una tienda de comestibles en donde se consiguen muchos productos de origen local, porque no me gusta llegar con las manos vacías a ningún sitio y creo que es genial llevarle un presente a las personas que voy a ver.

Nadie se ha quejado nunca de las deliciosas longanizas de Aragón que suelo llevar de regalo, un embutido curado listo para comer que fácilmente da a entender que proviene de estas tierras.

Me encontré con una variedad interesante, aunque me fui por la opción más segura, eligiendo la tradicional y confiable marca Melsa. Sé que va a ser un buen presente.

Luego tuve que devolverme a casa porque los días antes de viajar siempre hay muchas obligaciones que adelantar y trabajo que dejar preparado, tenía poco tiempo, por eso no pude lograr mucho más de los 10 mil pasos.

Mientras trabajaba, comencé a hacer pruebas con un paquete de monodosis de café de la máquina Senseo, quiero intentar ver si puedo aprovechar estas pequeñas bolsitas de café para llevármelas de viaje. Ocupan poco espacio, por lo que si logro dar con la forma de extraer bien el café solo vertiendo agua caliente, sería todo un éxito. Por los momentos, no he tenido mucho éxito, pero solo he hecho un par de pruebas mientras trabajaba, así que estaba bastante distraída de la labor.

That's why, when I was able to get a little time to go outside yesterday, finding a radiant day and a clear blue sky, after a freezing rainy night, I was very positive. Things are starting to look good.

I was planning to go to a grocery store where you get a lot of locally made products, because I don't like to arrive empty-handed anywhere and I think it's great to bring a present to the people I'm going to see.

No one has ever complained about the delicious longanizas de Aragón that I usually bring as a gift, a ready-to-eat cured sausage that easily hints that it comes from these lands.

I came across an interesting variety, although I went for the safest option, choosing the traditional and reliable brand Melsa. I know it's going to be a good treat.

Then I had to return home because the days before traveling there are always many obligations to advance and work to be done, I had little time, so I could not achieve much more than the 10 k steps.

While I was working, I started testing with a package of coffee pods from the Senseo machine, I want to try to see if I can use these little bags of coffee to take with me while traveling. These take up very little space, so if I can figure out how to extract the coffee well just by pouring hot water, it would be a total hit. At the moment, I haven't had much success, but I've only done a couple of tests while working, so I was quite distracted from the task.

Bueno, a pesar de que tengo que seguir haciendo pruebas con estas bolsas de café, sé que las llevaré de todas formas, porque en uno de los sitios donde nos alojaremos habrá una máquina Senseo donde usarlas, por lo que ya sé que debo intentar incluirlas en mi reducido equipaje.

Quiero viajar lo más ligera posible, así que llevaré solo lo necesario, cosas de aseo, ropa ligera y café. =D

Al principio pensé que no lograría empacar lo necesario en una sola mochila de esas que acepta cualquier aerolínea, no suelo preocuparme demasiado porque se me da bien hacer las maletas, pero esta vez serán más días que en las otras ocasiones.

Sin embargo lo logré. Tuve que dejar de lado llevar la mochila que más me gusta, porque tiene muchos compartimientos diferentes para guardar cosas por separado y me quedé con una simple mochila negra que solo tiene un compartimiento grande y otro frontal más pequeño.

Equipaje preparado. Simple pero útil, además es mucho más ligera. Incluso llevo ahí dentro un par de zapatos adicionales, es el beneficio de los barefoot shoes, son ligeros y muy elásticos, perfectos para aprovechar espacios.

Well, even though I have to keep testing with these coffee bags, I know I'll take them anyway, because in one of the places where we'll be staying there is a Senseo machine where to use them, so I already know I should try to include them in my light luggage.

I want to travel as light as possible, so I'll bring only the necessities, toiletries, light clothes and coffee. =D

At first I thought I wouldn't be able to pack what I need in a single backpack that any airline will accept, I don't usually worry too much because I'm good at packing, but this time it will be more days than in previous occasions.

However, I made it. I had to give up carrying the backpack I like the most, because it has many different compartments to store things separately and I was reduced to a simple black backpack that only has a large compartment and a smaller front one.

Luggage ready. Simple but useful, plus it's a lot lighter. I even carry an extra pair of shoes in there, that's the benefit of barefoot shoes, they are light and very elastic, perfect for saving space.

Al final del día, volvió a nublarse y no ha parado el clima lluvioso incluso hasta ahora que vuelve a anochecer. Hace mas frio de lo esperado y me imagino que será incluso peor en alguno de los lugares en los que estaré los próximos días, sin embargo nada más pensar en ello me llena de entusiasmo. Llueve, pero también florece todo gracias a ello.

Lo que sí sé que llevaré seguro es mi Kindle, ese compañero fiel que no defrauda. Tenía mis dudas sobre llevarlo o no, porque sé que estaré muy entretenida y me da algo de miedo perderlo con tantos lugares en los que vamos a estar, pero revisando nuestros itinerarios, habrá mucho tiempo muerto entre esperas, trenes y aviones, así que me vendrá bien tenerlo a mano.

Aún tengo un par de días antes de partir, pero me gusta tener las cosas organizadas con cierto margen, eso hace que no me angustie tanto a ultimo momento.

¡Ah, por cierto! La razón por la que quise escribir todo esto en el reporte de actividad de hoy, es porque recuerdo que hace un par de años, aunque estaba viajando por las mismas fechas, hice un reporte mientras viajaba, fue mas una catarsis por perder un vuelo, pero me gustó tener el recuerdo de ese post hecho al momento.

Entonces, como para mi estar de viaje significa hacer muchos pasos al día, espero poder hacer al menos un par de reportes a la semana para ir dejando constancia de las primeras impresiones de los sitios por los que paso y ya luego, con más tiempo, hacer unas reseñas mas completas del destino y lugares de interés. A ver si logro cumplir con esto ¡Aquí vamos! 🛫

At the end of the day, it got cloudy again and the rainy weather hasn't stopped even now that it's getting dark again. It's colder than expected and I imagine it will be even worse in some of the places I'll be in the next few days, but the thought of that just fills me with enthusiasm. It's raining, but also everything is blooming because of it.

What I do know is that I'll bring for sure my Kindle, that faithful companion that never disappoints. I had my doubts about taking it or not, because I know I'll be very entertained and I'm a little afraid of losing it with so many places we're going to be, but checking our itineraries, there will be a lot of dead time between waits, trains and planes, so it will be good for me to have it handy.

I still have a couple of days before we leave, but I like to have things organized with some margin, that makes me not so anxious at the last minute.

Oh, by the way! The reason why I wanted to write all this in today's activity report, is because I remember a couple of years ago, even though I was traveling around the same time, I did a report while I was traveling, it was more of a catharsis for missing a flight, but I liked having the memory of that post done at the very moment.

So, as for me being on a trip means doing many steps a day, I hope being able to make at least a couple of reports a week to keep track of the first impressions of the places I visit and later, with more time, write more detailed reviews about the destination and places of interest. Let's see if I can accomplish this, here we go! 🛫
