Banning Russia’s flag and anthem is perfect for WADA, whose only concern is optics - The Washington Post

In my sport that I represented America on the former United States National Team and alternate for the 1988 & 1992 Olympics in kodokan judo at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in which Putin being a black belt himself practices with the Russian National & Olympic team, I was wondering why and how the Russians won nearly every division including over the Japanese fighters from the National & Olympic team from the original start of the sport in Tokyo Japan at the kodokan institute. This would be a damn near impossible task in itself but Russia was steadily doing it since my time. I always wondered how until now. I fought against the Captain of the Russia National team many many times and Russia Olympic team at the world championships always finding it to be some of the most difficult matches of my life. It is unfair totally now that I see this video. It's not only unfair but it Sparks a major concern for athletes competing in full contact sports from possible life changing injuries and possibly even death. For this alone, I am grateful to see Russia being banned from the Olympics including Putin's prized fighters in his own sport.
