My Actifit Report Card: February 18 2025 - spot the fox
I took a different route yesterday across one of the nearby meadows and since it was frosty, the normally muddy ground was solid as rock.
In between the meadow and the adjacent field, is a woodland with a pathway that cuts through its middle. I was stepping across a ditch full of frozen water when I spotted the fox and gently raised my phone to take a photo of it. It sat there observing me and then calmly sneaked away into the underbrush.
It made my day!
In fact I think I saw him again later yesterday as we drove home from the shops. Definitely hunting I’d say, which leads me to think there’s a vixen with cubs or expecting cubs.

We used to see foxes all the time in our garden, but not recently. They are pretty animals and never did any harm.
I’ll try and capture more photos of this lovely fox.
