Ramos informs Real Madrid of his final decision

A Spanish press report said today, Wednesday, that Sergio Ramos, the captain of Real Madrid, informed the management of his final decision about his future.

Ramos' contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of this season, as Florentino Perez, the club's president, offered him a two-season renewal with a 10% reduction in his salary due to the economic crisis the club is going through, which the player refused.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Ramos will not change his mind, and will stick to his current position to reject the offer of the Real, but the matter has reached that he informed his club that his future in a European club can meet his financial demands.

The report indicated that Real Madrid also has no intention of making a new offer to change Ramos' decision, and the coming period will witness the Merengue captain bidding farewell to the club, which has been between its walls since 2005.

The report indicated that Austrian David Alaba, Bayern Munich defender, is the closest to compensating for Ramos' imminent departure from Real Madrid, especially as he will join in a free transfer deal, after his contract with his club expires at the end of this season.

It is worth noting that Ramos will be absent from Real Madrid until next April, due to his undergoing surgery in the knee meniscus.
