Island 5K Challenge - My Actifit Report Card: January 31 2025

Today was the last day of our Cruise which found us on the private island with plenty of activities to choose from. I still got up before the family and headed to the gym for a workout. I did another weight training session focused on the lower body. The food was pretty tempting today so I did enjoy myself more than usual which made me think about a second workout session at some point. As we settled on the beach, the weather was pretty comfortable for a walk so we all went to explore the island.

We thought of going for bike rides but the family did not like the thought of going too far. Instead, they wanted to head to the beach to relax. I found a 5K route that they promoted and a number of people wete starting it. I decided to go for it and push for a good time. It was a good route although the wind in a certain stretch was a challenge. I found myself in Zone 3 for a good amount of time given the push. However, I was able to maintain a good pace and saw that I had the chance to end below half hour. I challenged myself and just achieved it! Unexpectedly, I got myself a little badge from the island acknowledging my 5K today!

cruise + private island + family- that seems like a lot of fun, well i understand them preferring the beach "probably i would have done the same" instead of the bike ride, "22837" is indeed a great score- well done & have a good day

    I missed the rest of the cruise, but this sounds like a great way to finish it. I haven't been on a cruise in nearly 20 years since my 1st honeymoon, but you totally made me want to get back out in the seas. I would just be worried about binge eating with all that free food.

    Oh yeah... I went up an absurd amount of pounds despite working out twice every day! Too many options within only walking distance. I love Cruises but the diet is always a challenge. I do not regret the indulgence though as I am still feeling good about my progress!

    You gotta have a nice treat every now and again or else what are you doing all the work for? It might be less about the quantity of food and more about the quality of food. Lately, I've been paying much more attention to the labels than my serving sizes.

    Dude, you should have posted more picture for that day. I have not been following you, but I wanted to see a little more. How does the beach looked like? Now I want more.
