Longer but not Longest - My Actifit Report Card: January 14 2025

I decided to continue to challenge myself (yesterday) today with an early jog outside. It was cloudy outside but comfortable to go for a run although the mist in the air signaled some rain which came near the end of the run. My focus was to stay in Zone 2 for a longer than usual run. It worked for the most part although towards the end I remained at the cusp of Zones 2 and 3. However, I felt really good throughout the jog. I chose a route that I thought had space for me to continue extending but found myself near my home at the hour mark and given the rain, I decided to stop.

I could have kept going which I really wanted to because before this, my longest run ever had been a 10k. I had to get to work and the rain was picking up so will need to leave that for another day. I was surprised on how strong I felt as I got home and hydrated myself before my shower. I think I could have easily past my previous longest run as I continue to learn more about my body and how to really train it. While my focus remains on the strength side, I am seeing the benefits on other areas!
