Biggest Gap - My Actifit Report Card: November 3 2024
Today I realized how big my gap is in one area of my fitness and health journey, my flexibility. I saw a class on stretching today available at the gym so went early and after an hour walk on the treadmill, I headed to give it a try. I was definitely the worst participant and it was as much of a struggle than a normal workout as I could not get my body in certain positions. It was not even pain, it was just the lack of movement available to do some of the poses. I knew this but it was evident of how far I am than I should be.
I took away some key moves and poses to help me in the future. I will start adding these along my weeks to see if I can improve so I can enjoy stretching as a recovery in the future. Maybe even get to a Yoga class which I used to love at my peak years ago. Another challenge to add to the list and chase! Momentum continues as I am getting aligned with the new focus. The week ahead may be a challenge but I am up for it.

Congrats on the stretching class! I probably do much more stretching than weight training, so power isn't my thing. But I can sure do a mean forward fold!
