My Actifit Report Card: January 16 2025

I got out the big boys today to help with my activity count. It was another 35 plus degree celsius day with plenty of humidity, so I really had to work hard for the step. Mowing, edging, and hedging in the mid day sun was harder than my morning run. Some good tools make the job easier and almost enjoyable. The Honda 4 stroke engine gardening tools have been great and lasted a long time. I would happily pay the extra again if and when they eventually need replacing.

Everything grows so quickly this time of year I really need to do it weekly, or it gets right out of control.

It was a quick hose off and then straight into the pool afterwards to cool down.

    Lekker is a broad use term... yeah 'nice' is lekker.

    Lekker can be used to describe food that tastes good/great.

    It can be used to describe a day or a place. A Lekker area, lekker weather, some people use it in all sorts of ways in slang.

    It is an Afrikaans word.

    Here is Ricus Nel with Lekker Ou Jan. Jan is a guy's name.
