Description from Strava: @cycling Strava2hive. Lots of rolling hills
5 laps of Ferntree Loop got me the Local Legend badge. It is a nice loop for cycling. A nice smooth wide bike lane on the main road section and then a few quiet back streets to join it all up into an approximate 5km loop.
The only thing wrong with it is all the rolling hills. Four hundred metres of elevation gain and pretty much no flat sections at all. You do get a bit of a rest when your heading down hill but you still have to hang on tight and keep your eyes peeled at 50 kph plus.
I was hoping for at least an average of 25 kph but I do find all the hills hard.
Funny how garmin get the same 5 loops as lower each time.
