The Glorious Perks of Being a Muscular Dude
One time some neighbors and friends who lived around were telling me about a robbery that happened in a lonely street close to our house. They said a guy was passing by and two robbers stopped him, they made him hand over his phone and cash at knifepoint.
They started talking about how that road was not safe and how people would need to be wary.
I was getting a little feeling of fear until I realized, oh that would never happen to me, I am not the regular/average guy. I'm a muscular dude, it would take so much guts and testosterone (that the modern man lacks) for anyone to step up to me with a knife.
Even if it was going to happen to me the chances were very slim. Like tiny. And the chances are that tiny even if the assailants have a gun.
This is something I try to explain to people, being a muscular dude is being on a pedestal. People think twice before daring you. Just the sight of your arm size and they imagine what it would feel like if your punch lands on them. This imagination would put the fear of God in them.
That's just how it goes. When I explain this to people like I'm doing now they usually try to argue, but look at this example:
Imagine you're about to kidnap a dog, and you go to a neighborhood with a lot of dogs. Then a big dog like a Rottweiler comes along, what are the chances that you'd go for it versus the chances that you'll say "I just have to let this one pass, an easier dog would come along soon"?
Or, imagine you're about to cross the road, this one happens a lot. You see a big truck coming, and it's kinda far from you but you just decide not to risk it at all but wait till something that big is not in sight. But you've crossed the road millions of times with cars away from you at that exact distance. You had the guts to cross because the cars were small and not these huge vehicles.
That's how it goes for a muscular dude. Even if you're armed, when you see him you'd be like "Nope, not this one, I just have to wait and a more regular person would come by." Even if you're armed you're sure to think twice.
Even if a muscular dude may be attacked, the fact just remains that the chances are very slim.
You might also ask, what if the robbers are muscular too? Now what are the chances of that? How many percent of guys are muscular? It's certainly going to be difficult to find a muscular robber. How many MFS work out? How many MFS who work out have succeeded in building muscles?
Then again, even if the robbers are muscular they'll still think twice. Especially when they know that if they just let you pass and wait a little the next person who will pass by is almost certainly not going to be muscular and therefore wouldn't be a threat/trouble.
I've lived in neighborhoods with a lot of complaints like this but these robberies never happened to me, I wasn't careful or anything, maybe luck, or maybe the robbers saw those muscles and their guts oozed out of their pores and orifices.

Alright, one of the major inspirations for this post was the fact that I saw the description of the #freecompliments community again and saw that complimenting yourself and making yourself feel good was one of the objectives. I really had to do this 😅.
The End

Hi there, my novella Professor Otagburuagu just got published. It promises to be thoroughly entertaining and intellectually stimulating. Written by myself and illustrated by Scandinavian artist @ katharsisdrill. You can get it from me for just 4 HBD.
You can also order the hard copy from anywhere in the world via this link:

Thank you!
Thank you 🙂
I think I get what you mean about complimenting yourself and especially the fact about you not being randomly attacked by robbers because of your build. Seems pretty valid to me. Is there a time it's okay to stop or will you perpetually keep building?
Nah, there's no need to stop in the first place. Why is stopping even coming into the picture? It's a healthy lifestyle that should be continued even into old age.
As far as I don't take steroids or get too big and monstrous this is about the best thing a human being can do with their body. Why did you even consider the option of stopping, @jhymi?
Exactly what you said. I mean you're alright now. But there's a tendency for you to get overly ripped and shredded, and that's not really nice or attractive, I don't know. But yeah, regular work outs are great.
🌚
Okay, I understand your fear now. A lot of people have that fear that one might get to the point they look monstrous and no longer attractive. Don't worry about that for me, I'll always be aesthetically pleasing 😉.
