Lo que suponía ser unos juegos amistosos, se ha convertido en un espacio de encuentro entre atletas, representantes y aficionados de esta disciplina que en su mayoría son de las comunidades aledañas, que miércoles y viernes, acuden a este encuentro en la cancha Mejía de Marigüitar, inclusive la semana pasada en su tercera semana de juegos entre los atletas de la escuela de Baloncesto Águilas de Fuego, contamos con la visita de varias atletas de Río Caribe, motivado por la buena vibra y el contagio dentro de la cancha, se sumaron a esta experiencia, estuvieron participando en los juegos del día 26 y 28 del pasado mes de marzo, ya que son parte de la selección de las U-14, lástima que no pude estar el día miércoles.

Se incorpora también a este campeonato, el equipo masculino Luis García. El miércoles jugaron a primera hora, a las 6:20 PM, la selección U-14 Vs Las Amayas y en la segunda hora Herrería Óscar Larez Vs Inversiones Castillo.

Mientras que para el día viernes 28, jugó a primera hora los semilleros de las categorías mixta de 10 a 12 años, que está conformada por solo dos equipos que se definieron por color el equipo A el blanco y azul, y el B el negro y rojo, por situaciones laborales, llegué ya cuando estaban terminando el segundo tiempo, el tiempo que estuve allí, ambos equipos sacaron sus mejores ofensivas y defensivas dentro de la cancha, el equipo blanco y azul estaba perdiendo cunado terminó el segundo cuarto. Sin mucha demora continuó el último cuarto, el equipo A puso más ganas dentro de la cancha, tratando de arrebatar cada pelota en su territorio, aunque su esfuerzo fue admirable, no pudieron lograr mucho en este cuarto, debido a que el equipo B, no se lo dejo tan fácil, mantuvieron su defensa activa, que no permitieron que llegarán casi al aro, la adrenalina se apoderó de ambos equipos, uno que luchaba por ganar terreno y acercarse más a la brecha que los mantenía por debajo y el otro que no quería perder su estatus de ganador, este juego estuvo emocionante, terminando el partido y ganando el equipo B.

Se continuó con el último cuarto, la cual transcurrió igual de bueno como los demás, hubo muchas anotaciones de ambos equipos e inclusive algunos triples, tapones, despojo de balón y más, sí que estuvo muy entretenido y emocionante este partido, llegando al final con las ganadoras Las Cabañas, felicito a la U- 14, que se lucieron dentro de la cancha, hay mucho talento bueno entre sus jugadoras, que queden en la selección las mejores, a todas las apoyo, sé que no será tarea fácil para el director de la escuela Águilas de Fuego.
