Lol I was going to comment asking why you’re surprised about the toad’s size, but I took another look and realized that’s mot the regular large toads I see around.
To be honest, Im not sure that its rare due it size or its size is due to having so many bugs in my garden to eat, but at least he's happy in there tucked away!

It's actually a very large toad, I checked well and it's big
