A new route... to Campo Polar

I am happy to be able to share with you these scenes from my cycling to Campo Polar, a synthetic football pitch we have here in Havana City.
It all came out of the blue. I was at home, doing housework, without electricity, due to the power cuts that overwhelm us given our complicated economic situation throughout the country. My friends, who were nearby, called me. They asked me if I wanted to go for a ride with them. I left everything. I fed my pets in case it took me a while to get home and we set off aimlessly.

We took the Husillo road and went out to 51st Street, and then the idea of visiting the football field came up. All thanks to the explorer Yoyo Batman who always has surprises of routes through intricate places in our city.
This was the first artificial turf to be installed in Cuba and was part of the FIFA Goal Project. The announcement was made in 2013 and if I am not mistaken it was for 2017 when the works started.
They were in some kind of competition and allowed me to take pictures from the outside of the field.
The soccer players were very excited to see me with the camera and asked me to take some pictures of them.
I have already sent the pics to them, by the way. I'm sure they liked that souvenir.
In this scene I liked, it was probably children from the neighbourhood who were allowed to play there and watch the games.
You can see in the video that we continued pedalling to other places, but that's another story, which I will, of course, tell you in another blog.

Oh, I almost forgot, this is the picture I took when I grabbed the camera. It's a view of the so-called Trinquete, a Pelota Vasca complex, where there are a few courts. I don't know what state they are in. I'll have to go there one of these days.

Hahaha... you saw it! He kicked the backpack and a plastic bottle with water came flying out and went over my head. I got out of there immediately. Then he came to apologise... 😅

lol yeah it's an intense sport! haha didn't see the bottle but it cut off before he kicked the bag xD
Well yes, 😁 that part didn't come out, just at that moment I paused the video and moved, that's why the bottle didn't hit me in the head hahaha...
(I checked it just now to see if it came out, and no 😆, it's the end of that shot 🤷♀)
well that was an enjoyable video, what I did notice is that you do not wobble about as you gain more time in the saddle, the more you do it the better it gets I guess.

Because I go slowly in those parts I chose, avoiding the holes in the street. I'm a great cyclist, no doubt about it...🤣😅
The tattoos... remind me that when BTC reaches 100K I have to get one. 😁

You take good photos. I like them a lot. Besides, in photography it's nice to be perfect, but I enjoy more what the image makes me feel. Everything in life depends on the message you want to convey.
I don't consider myself excellent at anything, I just do a bit of everything I can and try to enjoy the process, because I want to be happy and pleased with myself, with what I want to say.

About the photos I appreciate your opinion, I take it very much into account. Today I am very tired, I have been like this for a while. Por mi parte tengo el inconsciente muy revuelto, he tomado decisiones de trabajo y entiendo que por una parte está el miedo y por otra, una parte de mi (o quien sea), me va dejando mensajes en los sueños, como éste: tenía miedo a no ser visto y una voz me dijo: "No te preocupes, te mencionaré". En eso ando por las noches... en un rato me acostaré y no descansare...

Creo que hoy manclar me ha "atacado" con ellos, aunque todavía no entiendo muy bien qué es.
En cuanto a la valentia, he tomado decisiones en contra de lo que tenía planificado para mí vejez, es una apuesta. Tampoco descabellada, escuché una frase hace unos meses que ha ido calando poco a poco en mi: "cada cual escoge el escaparate que cree que se merece".
Es largo de contar... Pero estas pocas palabras me han empujado a tomar determinadas decisiones, algunas irreversibles, como la venta de un piso.

It's a bummer to have power cuts all the time, but then it gives you a great excuse to go out and cycle more. My little Snowpea says she enjoyed sitting on the front of your bike cycling around Havana 🙂
I would gladly take our dear Snowpea for a bike ride today, because we are in the same situation again. 😅
But it's windy, and maybe it will rain. I'd better go on foot... I'm deciding where I want to escape to today. 😉

My dad used to tell me that La Polar was a beautiful field; it’s a shame it’s been lost, and I think there was even a fire there.
On the other hand, I didn’t know that the FIFA field turned out so great; now I feel like going.

I edited that part very badly, 🤪🥴 it turns out it was a Yoyo Batman relative and he honked at him. But yeah, I'm dangerous on the road 🤣.
