"Italia, forte" [ESP|ENG]

Terminada la primera jornada de los octavos de final de la Champions y los dieciseisavos de la Europa y Conference League es notorio que los clubes representantes de la Serie A obtuvieron excelentes resultados en sus respectivos encuentros.

Primero que nada debo decir que ni de cerca soy italiano aunque ame con todas mis fuerzas al pasticho y la pizza, segundo debo decir que me alegra que en estos momentos la Serie A vea como sus representantes en las competiciones de UEFA estén demostrando un buen desempeño en todos los torneos de esta organización de fútbol europeo; clubes como Napoli, Inter, Roma, Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina y Juventus siguen con vida en estos tres torneos y esto es un buen signo para esta competición que ha perdido importancia en los últimos años y es que tan solo el título obtenido por la AS Roma en la primera edición de la Conference League, es el último que recuerdo en muchos años.

Posiblemente, la ausencia de jugadores italianos que por diferentes razones no sean considerados como los mejores del mundo o por la mala organización al realizar fichajes, es lo que afecta a conocido como "El Calcio Italiano" y pienso que es lo que prova a varios clubes a dar un salto de calidad; en mi opinión creo que en Italia, los directivos que realizan un buen trabajo están conscientes de que meta deben alcanzar y esa es ser campeones de la Serie A, es lo primordial y por eso, el ser campeones en otros torneos como UCL y UEL dependerá de muchas otras cosas y no digo que estos clubes menosprecien las competencias de UEFA, sino que en la actualidad del fútbol italiano pareciera que está la noción de que saben que no pueden competir con clubes con grandes estrellas y eso afecta a los equipos. Esta mentalidad de una manera u otra debe erradicarse porque estos equipos, los más importantes, están compuestos por jugadores capaces de realizar un buen fútbol y creo que justamente en estas eliminatorias (en los tres torneos) se presentó oportunidades para tomar ventaja y dar un paso hacia otra fase.

No me quiero adelantar a varios acontecimientos porque si algo es el fútbol, eso es lo caprichoso que puede ser (tal como dice cierto comentarista argentino) y esto lo digo porque la competencia por los octavos de final en la Champions no ha terminado; justamente el desempeño de los tres clubes italianos en este torneo es lo que me motivo a escribir esta opinión sobre el fútbol italiano y esa obligación de trascender en cualquiera de estas competiciones; AC Milan e Inter de Milán, aprovecharon sus encuentros en función de ser locales y con un resultado corto, obtuvieron la victoria contra Tottenham y Poto, respectivamente; ambos equipos crearon muchas ocasiones de gol, pero de una manera u otra solamente anotaron un gol, estadísticamente dominaron el juego en los cuales se pudo hacer más aunque el obtener la victoria fue importante por la confianza que genera el ahora enfrentar a esos mismos equipos, pero como visitantes. El Napoli, lo dejé claro en mi pasada publicación en dónde este club del sur de Italia tuvo una Plácida Visita y del cual pienso que si controlan bien el balón jugando de local, tranquilamente estarán en cuartos de final.

This mentality must be eradicated in one way or another because these teams, the most important ones, are made up of players capable of playing good soccer and I believe that precisely in these qualifiers (in the three tournaments) there were opportunities to take advantage and take a step towards another phase.


I do not want to get ahead of several events because if soccer is something, that is how capricious it can be (as a certain Argentinean commentator says) and I say this because the competition for the round of 16 in the Champions League is not over; precisely the performance of the three Italian clubs in this tournament is what motivated me to write this opinion about Italian soccer and the obligation to transcend in any of these competitions; AC Milan and Inter Milan, took advantage of their home matches and with a short result, obtained the victory against Tottenham and Poto, respectively; both teams created many scoring chances, but in one way or another they only scored one goal, statistically they dominated the game in which they could have done more, although obtaining the victory was important for the confidence generated by now facing those same teams, but as visitors. Con respecto a los clubes como Juventus y AS Roma, los cuales son parte de la representación en la Europa League o mejor dicho, disputaron los dieciseisavos de final de esa competición; el día de hoy demostraron actitud, ganas de jugar y algo que considero fundamental, tener respeto a esta competencia y es que este puede ser un premio especial para estos clubes como otros más, por ejemplo la Juventus que está muy lejos de los primeros puestos y si llegan a ganar está competencia, serán parte de la próxima temporada de la UCL; con respecto a la Roma, que hoy remontó un marcador adverso jugando de local, puede demostrar que es un equipo campeón y que mejor que ganado la UEL, ya que el pasado año ganaron la Conference League y eso debe de servir como motivación para este equipo que jugó muy bien contra el Salzburgo. Los otros dos clubes, Fiorentina y Lazio que tuvieron acción por la Conference League y ganaron sus encuentros, tiene la similitud de obtener un mejor premio, el cual es seguir compartiendo en Europa por un año más, aparte por supuesto del título, sin menospreciar su importancia entre la competencia de clubes. Sé que Italia no es el único país que puede decir que mantiene viva la posibilidad de estar en fases definitorias en estos tres torneos, pero la necesidad de la Serie A el tener campeones es algo inevitable y dependiendo de diferentes factores puede ser que en esta temporada exista un finalista italiano; solo habrá que esperar que decide la suerte, el destino, el balón o el mismo fútbol si en esta ocasión beneficia o no al fútbol italiano.
