En el encuentro más esperado en la primera fase del mundial de Qatar, las selecciones de Alemania y España nos regalaron 90' minutos de intenso fútbol que terminó con la igualdad en el marcador, manteniendo la posibilidad de uno equipo terminar primero de grupo y otro con un paso importante para pasar a segunda fase.

Desde la manera como la España de Luis Enrique jugó contra Costa Rica, desde el dominio del juego y la libertad que tuvo alguien tan importante como Sergio Busquets para dirigir todos los hilos de la selección de España; Flick pensó que eliminar ese importante factor de su rival sin renunciar al esquema de 4-2-3-1 y por eso pasa a Gündogan de posición de enganche y dejar como falso 9 a Müller; ambos jugadores se turnaban para tapar a Busquets, que España no contará con él y eso funcionó en gran parte del partido porque tango Goretzka cómo Kimmich se encargaban de frenar el juego de Gavi y Pedri. España solo tuvo un cambio en el equipo titular en comparación con el pasado y ese fue la entrada de Carvajal cómo lateral derecho; lo demás fue exactamente igual y en mi opinión eso favoreció a la selección alemana en este importante encuentro.

El primer tiempo, Alemania se vio beneficiado por el arbitraje que permitió el roce entre jugadores y por eso el equipo teutón impuso su físico contra sus rivales y por momentos fue una batalla entre calidad y fuerza, aunque siendo sincero el plan de usar a Gündogan y Müller para cubrir a Busquets y dejarlo sin posibilidad de jugar dio mayor peso al equipo que estaba con mayor necesidad de ganar, la selección de Alemania; por parte de España, era notorio que le costó jugar aunque eso no impidió que se crea muy clara ocasiones para poder anotar en los primeros 45 minutos. En el segundo tiempo aparecieron los goles; ambas selecciones tuvieron un gran desgaste y era de esperar que a causa del cansancio se empezará a ver más espacios y con ellos más posibilidades y los primeros que aprovecharon ese factor fue la selección de España que con un gol de Álvaro Morata daba un duro golpe a su rival, pero Alemania es Alemania y practicando un fútbol muy ligado a la historia de esa selección, pudo conseguir un ansiado empate que lo sigue manteniendo con vida en esta competencia. En mi opinión los cambios realizados por Flick tuvieron más peso que los realizados por Luis Enrique que creo que pudo hacer entrar a Soler y Sanabria o el mismo Ansu Fati para reforzar el medio campo y ataque y seguir con posibilidad de ganar el partido, pero creo que el empate no era un resultado que el cuerpo técnico español no veía como malo; cosa contraria era Alemania que necesitaba sí o sí ganar porque recordemos que esta selección quedó eliminada en fase de grupo en el pasado mundial y repetir tan lamentable actuación sería grave para el fútbol alemán. Con este empate entre dos poderosas selecciones, el Grupo E está muy interesante, ya que ningún equipo está clasificado a segunda fase; todos tienen posibilidad de estar y eso hace que ninguna se guarde nada para esa última jornada en dónde se deberán enfrentar Japón vs. España y Alemania vs. Costa Rica.

In the second half the goals appeared; both teams had a lot of wear and tear and it was to be expected that due to fatigue more spaces would start to appear and with them more chances and the first to take advantage of this factor was the Spanish team that with a goal by Alvaro Morata gave a hard blow to its rival, but Germany is Germany and practicing a soccer very linked to the history of that team, was able to get a longed-for tie that keeps them alive in this competition. In my opinion the changes made by Flick had more weight than those made by Luis Enrique who I think could have brought in Soler and Sanabria or even Ansu Fati to strengthen the midfield and attack and still have a chance to win the game, but I think the draw was not a result that the Spanish coaching staff did not see as bad; on the contrary, Germany needed to win because let's remember that this team was eliminated in the group stage in the last World Cup and repeating such a pitiful performance would be serious for German soccer. With this draw between two powerful teams, Group E is very interesting, since no team has qualified for the second round; all of them have a chance to qualify and that means that none of them has anything to save for the last matchday where Japan vs. Spain and Germany vs. Costa Rica will face each other.
