Yesterday we were on a long drive into the mountains, it was a beautiful sunny day, and we are in the last few days of good climate. Before the temperature starts soaring up we thought of doing this day long drive outing. Oman roads are a beauty to drive, there are varied landscapes to watch and the majestic mountains are breadth taking.

As we were driving through suddenly there were some 4 to 5 racer cars that just flew by from front of us, it was fascinating to watch, so many go at one time together, it was like zoop zoop with roaring engines flying away in front of us. We were still settling down with that and then there were some more and some more and more that went by, and then we got very curious as to what is happening. How come so many racer cars flying by. There was no racing event that we knew of and Oman does not have a track also for racing events.

Then it was like they were just coming one after another, we must have counted some 25 cars and then we lost the count, because they were continuously coming. On the way there was a check point so we were thinking if all these cars would be on our same way or will be taking some different route. I wanted to see all of them together and take some pictures. To our luck they were all on our way and just after the check point not all but some of them had taken a halt. It was a marvelous sight to watch. All the other normal cars were also halting to take pictures.

This was just before the check point, they had to slow down as only one vehicle at a time could pass from the check point, I was able to take some pictures.

Just after the check point some of them had taken a halt so I could manage to click some pictures. On checking I got to know that there was some Oman Car Park Drift Championship and for that everyone had come, there was some special track arranged for this. I do not understand much of this so did not bother much, but yes I was enjoying the car show thoroughly. It seems there were a total of 72 cars.

I was still not satisfied with the pictures I had taken so far, I wanted to take it in place where they would be all in a little organized manner. We started moving further up to the mountains, and then there was one spot where we saw all of them had gathered up and parked up in a very organized manner. This was a wonderful sight to see

There were Ferraris, Mclaren, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Porsche..... I was just drooling over them. All the cars were coming to this point and parking in pairs, the line was getting longer and longer as they were arriving. The whole line did not even fit in my lens. I took some videos as well.

It was a fascinating sight for me. After watching this I am motivated to attend one racing event once in my life time. May be some day I will go to Dubai and watch, as there are racing event that happens there very often. With this site, I felt that our drive to the mountains was totally worth, and we got to see more than what we expected. Such things we do not get to see on a day to day basis. I enjoyed every bit of it.
