Bangladeshi cricketer , Afif and Mehidy played an incredible batting today and win the one day match vs Afghanistan (Bangladesh Cricket)

Mehidy Hasan Miraz almost lost his place last year to Mahedi Hasan in both ODI and T20I format. And since then, he never turned back and never gave up. The massive improvement in his batting in all three formats of the game is completely evident and he deserves every bit of it to stay in the playing XI.

Afif Hossain won matches for us against Zimbabwe twice, against Australia once, played a beautiful knock against New Zealand and played his best knock against Afghanistan today to win another game for Bangladesh.

And people say it's just Zimbabwe, it's just Afghanistan? Cut him some slack. He's 22 years old and one of the brightest young talent in Bangladesh cricket. People who knows cricket and follows him for last 4-5 years have always rated him highly.

We never managed to produce young consistent batsman who will keep winning matches for the side, even ponchopandob could not do that when they were 21-22. Afif has just started to get there and he should be trusted.

Both Afif and Mehidy doesn't get to bat in their preferred positions and they won't get to anytime soon. Mehidy even turned into a bowler and everyone started to treat him as a tailender batsman.

So this is an extra challenge for them, but I hope they manage to hang in, keep playing like this so that we have to never worry about our pipeline whenever the senior retires. The dream is well and truly on.
