The Story of My Life : My Self-introduction as a Newbie in Hive

Hi everyone, a wonderful morning, afternoon, or evening to all of the readers here. I am honored to meet you all. Thank you for giving me the chance to express myself here in Hive. People have different stories in their lives. So I am here to hopefully make you joyful as I share my life story.”

Introduction

“I am @moonkiara, and I’m 18 years old. I live in Argawanon, San Remigio, Cebu. I’m currently studying as a senior high school student. My zodiac sign is Sagittarius, and I am the eldest daughter of our family. My mother is a housewife, and my father died a long time ago before I was born. However, I have a stepfather and half-brothers. I have been an academic achiever since elementary school.

I always dreamed of being an archaeologist but due to financial problems, I chose to be a teacher, which fits within our budget. I’m an independent and humble person. I am the type of person who does not always rely on others and who does not like being the center of attention; I always keep my status low. I am also a patient person; I don’t get easily mad or irritated by just small things even when I’m under pressure from extracurricular activities. I don’t participate much in school competitions because I want to focus only on my academics. But I once joined a badminton competition due to a lack of players and fortunately, I got 3rd place. I’m also the type of person who cannot stand being around a lot of people; I interact or communicate less with my classmates; I’m an introvert.

Furthermore, I am active in school organizations, and I hold different positions in different clubs, which sometimes makes me feel drained and exhausted because I miss some parts of our discussions and projects. However, I eventually learned to manage my time wisely. I am not too friendly of a person, but I have friends who are always with me wherever I go, which helps me improve my confidence to interact with other people. I love getting along with them; the bonds that we create, the laughs that we share will never fade or be forgotten.”

Spending time with my best friends

“They are my friends, namely Jo, Jean, and Wang. We’ve been friends since high school, probably since grade 7 to be exact. We met in our classroom, and they were my classmates. At first, we were like strangers, but after we had a small conversation, we started to interact and talk with each other until we became best friends. However, the pandemic came, and we got separated into different classrooms. We couldn’t catch up with each other because of our different schedules. We didn’t see each other and communicated less due to social distancing. We couldn’t usually chat with each other due to various reasons, like being out of load or busy with modules. But regardless of the challenges we faced, we still kept our friendship strong.

We managed to spend time talking with each other through a group chat, which enabled us to share our feelings and problems. Our group chat became more of a comfort place for us. When everything returned to normal, we were so happy and excited because we got to see each other again and talk to each other personally. Even though there were some changes in us, we are still best friends in life.”

Hobbies

Each of us is given by God with different abilities, talents, and skills, which make us unique from one another. This time, I would like to share my habits with you and hope that it grabs your attention.

Listening to Music

I discovered my passion for music when I was young, and it has become an integral part of my life. Every time I hear a song that suits my taste, I immediately go to Google and search for it. After that, I listen to it multiple times until I memorize it. For me, listening to songs gives me peace of mind and relaxation.

Badminton

Badminton is the only sport that I continuously join every time there is a competition at our school. I always join, even if I’m not good enough at it. I love this sport because it improves my alertness and agility, which makes it even more fun and challenging.

Watching Anime

Since childhood, I have always watched anime. It’s my pastime whenever I don’t have any work or tasks to do. Back then, when there were no mobile phones, I would go directly to the TV and watch anime. Every time I watch anime, it makes my day complete. I wasn’t usually allowed to go outside or play with other kids, so anime became my hobby every time boredom hit me.

Reading Comics or Manga

If I don’t have an anime to watch, reading comics or magazines is my alternative. Their beautiful art and unique stories grab my interest, which somehow helps improve my reading skills and comprehension. Additionally, I gain moral lessons from them

Drawing

I became more inclined to draw when I started watching anime. I have favorite characters from particular anime, so I try to draw them. When I found out my drawings weren’t too bad or far from their appearance, I realized that I have skills in drawing. So whenever I have free time, I draw anything that captures my interest or attention.”

“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am @dehai for sharing everything about what HIVE is. Thank you for encouraging and inspiring me to become a part of this amazing platform. At first, I was hesitant to join because I didn’t know how to manage my school activities and blogs simultaneously. However, I realized that HIVE not only helps improve our lives but also enhances our writing skills. Additionally, I would like to thank my friend @svetlanao8, who taught me how to make a self-introduction by providing the same guides or references for new beginners on HIVE. Your efforts and time are greatly appreciated.”

What can I contribute to this platform?

Some say that experience is the best teacher, but not everyone undergoes the same experiences as you have. However, they can learn from it and apply the experiences of others in their lives. With that, people can gain the courage to keep moving forward, face their challenges, pursue their dreams, and realize their uniqueness. Remember, there is only one you in this world. Allow yourself to shine like a star in your way and demonstrate to the world that nothing is impossible for a person full of dreams. To sum up, sharing my life experiences on this platform contributes to helping people become resilient, persevere, and realize that they are not alone in this world.
