On my walk today I stopped at a little pond that was covered in red. It looked kind of pretty.
It has been slowly spreading over the pond more and more over the last few months.
I thought it was moss or algae but it is actually a tiny fern. Here is a sign with information.
I have seen eels in the past but none recently.
