The Ringer: March 16 2025
Today was another day filled with chores. I started cleaning up my garage yesterday and today I was determined to finish it. It had been a while since I'd done it, so it had accumulated a lot of crap. I haven't parked two cars in there for at least six years. It's nice to be able to do it again. I feel like I accomplished something. It was a lot of work though, and I'm tired as hell.
I finished the day with over 14,000 steps. Additionally, I had almost 100 active minutes. Wooh-hoo! I rounded the day off with 10 flights of stairs as well. Oh, and I also got over 7 hours of sleep. Winning!
Today I started doing low carb high fat diet. Well almost. Usually for LCHF, I try to stay at about 65% of calories from fat. I only got 49% today. I like eating this way. I find that it really helps me to control my calorie intake. I'm also not so obsessed with food. I do lose my focus from time to time though. Maybe I can call on some other low-carb people to help me out. The only low-carb hiver I can think of at the moment is @prydefoltz. So, I might need you to call me out if you see me slippin, Pryde 😅.
Continuing with the theme: Each night I post the song that was playing as I ended the workout and use that as the title for the post for that day. Today, the song is The Ringer by Eminem. I love this venomous song. This whole album was pretty cool. It was a surprise album that not very many people knew that he was working on. The whole thing is him basically going after anybody that had any kind of criticism of him. There are so many gems in this song that it was kind of hard to pin down one part of it. But this is my favorite part:
I just like the way these lyrics flow. It's a relentless delivery from Em that really gets you hyped up when you listen to it. It's one of those times that you can't help but to feel the intensity. It's just one line after another with a frantic pace and venemous versus. It's truly great.
Well, that's it for today. Tomorrow's goals are 14,000 steps and at least two meals longed.
