Fight the Power: February 25 2025

Yesterday I started back on basketball. Today I started back on weightlifting. Today is technically the first day I was cleared to do strenuous physical activity since my surgery. I've been wanting to start lifting weights again for a while. I didn't do anything too drastic, just a little dumbbell bench workout. I wanted to send my muscles a little message to let them know what's going to come. I hope to increase my workout quite a bit over the next few weeks.

Today I got just over 10,000 steps and just over 20 active minutes. I also added 13 flights of stairs. I came in under my calorie limit as well. I didn't get much sleep though.

Continuing with the theme: Each night I post the song that was playing as I ended the workout and use that as the title for the post for that day. Public Enemy provided today's song with Fight the Power. Public Enemy was my favorite band for a long time until they got surpassed by Outkast. Hey "surpassed by outkast rhymes". Anyway Fight the power is a classic.

That's it for today, tomorrow's goals are 10,000 steps and 1700 calories.
