Raising Hell: January 27 2025

Today was another low activity day for me as I didn't get much sleep the night before. I went for another short walk but just enough to get the steps I needed. I'm still feeling some pain from my surgery. In fact it's getting a little more bothersome. I hope that it's just all part of the healing process.
I finished the day with 5131 steps. I was lower on the active minutes today, but at least I managed to get my soft goal of 10 flights of stairs in. Another good win for today was the second day in a row of logging all of my food. Today I was slightly over my goal, but I was still in a calorie deficit. So that should keep my weight trending down. One day, I want to do a post on the mathematics of weight loss and all of the different formulas and calculations I use.
Continuing with the theme: Each night I post the song that was playing as I ended the workout and use that as the title for the post for that day. Today's song was Raising Hell by Run DMC. I like this song. This album was one of the first albums that I had on tape. I love the way Run DMC was never shy about incorporating guitar into their music and even claiming the title Kings of Rock. Decades later people would talk about "Rap metal" as if it was a new theory.
I liked listening to this song so much that I even posted a thread with a few bars from it on Inleo where it was promptly ignored. I guess it's just not the right crowd for that. Anyway, it's a great and uplifting song.
Tomorrow, I'm looking for a slight uptick in activity and my 3rd day of successful logging.
