The Calgary Comic Expo was last weekend here and lasted for 4 days, from Thursday through Sunday. It featured hundreds of cospalys, and I was there to catch as many as I could, which I am sure would take an additional 4 days if I wanted to get them all. The level of detail and creativity always impresses me. Sometimes I have looked at how people create their cosplays, and they put quite a bit of work into wanting to look as authentic and interesting as possible. Maybe one day I will join them for a stretch, but I am always content to be behind the lens, capturing their art for all to see.

Thanks they sure are one of my favorite events to be at. I usually find that most people are pretty open to posing, I usually try to avoid people that looked to occupied or seem to be in a hurry so that probably helps.
yes when the subject is open to being photographed it helps and the energy and mood reflects in the photo creating memorable pics in the end.
