In my opinion I think there is a reason why @amr008 has not used @misterengagement. He wants the user to specifically use https://www.sportstalksocial.com when posting SPORTS comments. This will help the community in two ways:

  1. Increase ad revenue for the community (the recent proposal allows the community to decide what to do with it).
  2. Help SportsTalkSocial become higher ranked on the list of sites people visit. This will help SPORTS have a wider reach and hopefully onboard more users.

All of this is just my opinion. There may be a few more things @amr008 may want to add.

I agree @jfang003 with what you say. The engagement tooken doesn't care from which frontend you used or how much you engage, it's just a specific users tool to show appreciation.

@mk-sports-token why do you think the engagement token would be better then this?

It's decentralized, anyone can use it (1001), not just one person, also I'm investing in ENGAGE

I understand. I have been a fan of ENAGAGE .

We gotto consider SPORTS too right?

A lot of people who left SPORTS as it is in the wallet delegated to the project.

They can't curate it themselves because there are a lot of tribes out there to engage with . I hope you got the point.

My aim is to reward with 5000 SPORTS upvote for 100% .

ENGAGE is general , I would like to keep it as it is. SPORTS is for sportstalk community, so I will curate using it .

Makes sense?

@amr008 is doing the planning so if there is a way to incorporate the ENGAGE bot as well, I do not mind. I will watch the discussion the two of you have and will fully support any decision that comes out of it. This is a community decision so I want all of us to be able to discuss whether or not anything should be changed or not.

It won't be sustainable is my point.

How much Engage tokens will I pay out in a month ? And how do I get it back? How do I keep growing the Engage tokens in my account?
This is one of the reasons I shifted from liquid payouts to curation rewards.

Think about it , it's sports engagement project , don't you think paying in the native token has more value?

You talk about sports , you get SPORTS token .

I will eventually add ! Wine , beer and Engage tokens but as I said I can't go ahead with it alone.

Well @jfang003 and @anderssinho already mentioned what was in my mind but to add -

  1. It is not sustainable approach too . Very few people might want to hop on to different front-ends to just earn Engage .
  2. The community tokens should prevail , this particular project aims at increasing engagement from different frontends - please note that it is the key here . Whereas ENGAGE is for everyone irrespective of any frontend . The usecases for both of them are different .
  3. I might add various other features in future like ! WINE for the top user , ! BEER for top user in SPORTS , ! ENGAGE for top user in STEM etc etc but I can't move ahead with just those , it is not sustainable .

If you read the latest post then you will know they will not be happy if ENGAGE token is used for this purpose.

And for trailing ENGAGE you become dependent on supply of ENGAGE too, there are instances when ENGAGE token neither voted or give ENGAGE because they are out of supply of their daily quota.
