Nightlife in Sapporo

Yesterday, I walked around Sapporo at night in various places. Sapporo is the fifth largest city in Japan after Nagoya, with a population of about 2 million in the
metropolitan area. I was surprised that the town was much larger than I had imagined. The snow that fell the other day has piled up, and the Sapporo Snow Festival, which is now being held, is a big success with many people.

昨日は夜の札幌を色々と歩き回った。札幌は日本で名古屋に次ぐ大きさで、人工は都市圏で200万人程度の都市。想像していた町の大きさよりはるかに大きくてびっくりしました。先日降った雪も積もって、今開催されている「札幌雪まつり」も大勢の人で大盛況です。
