My Actifit Report Card: April 29 2023 - 04292023

I went to see a friend today for the first time in a very long time. I realized from yesterday's chat from my friend that today was the appointed Friday. Time flew so fast and I didn't even realize that it's already Friday. This week was one of the busiest weeks I had in a few months. I couldn't even sleep well because some stress I had at work. 🤯😓🤯😓

I was a little tired and had a slight headache, so I hesitated to go, but I decided to go see my friend because she is very important to me and we have worked so hard (she did a lot more than me) and encouraged each other. To my surprise, it was also her birthday, so I brought her a princess👸 cake, which is a popular birthday cake in Sweden 🇸🇪, and went to visit her.

We have been friends since I moved to Stockholm🇸🇪 and have been friends for three years now! Three years have passed since I moved to Stockholm. She is a friend I met at a language school when I moved here from Japan and we have shared many hardships including learning a new language and culture differences we faced. When I went to visit her, I heard very happy news. She happily reported to me that she had found a job. I was very proud of my friend who overcame the competition and got a job, while even local Swedes have difficulty finding a job.

Talking with my friend about various things was a refreshing change of my mood and got rid of some stress, even though I had a slight headache, and I forgot about work and talked about old memories made me feel relaxed. As I get older, it gets harder and harder to make friends, but I realized that you can make "friends" with the same goal, no matter how old you are.

Congratulations on your new job 🎂🎂🎉! I am so so so so so proud of you!!!

今日、すごく久しぶりに友人に会いに行った。今週は仕事の波のピークで、すごく忙しすぎてあっという間に過ぎて今日が約束の金曜日になったことも昨日の友人からのチャットで気がつきました。

少し疲れていて、少し頭痛がしていたので行くのを躊躇ったのですが、やはり友人は大切でここまでお互いを励まして頑張ってきた友人の為、会いに行くことにしました。 なんと、誕生日であったと言うこともあり、スウェーデン🇸🇪では誕生日ケーキの定番であるプリンセス👸ケーキを持参して遊びに行きました。

ストックホルム🇸🇪に引っ越ししてからの友人で、気が付けばもう3年の付き合いになります。海外から引っ越しして来て、語学学校で知り合った友人で、苦楽を共にした友人です。遊びに行くととても嬉しいニュースを聞きました。なんと就職が決まったと嬉しい報告をしてくれました。現地のスウェーデン人でさえ就職活動が難しいなか、その競争に打ち勝ち就職を勝ち取った友人がとても誇らしかったです。

少しあった頭痛も友人と色々と話していると気分転換になり、仕事のことも忘れ昔の思い出が話で盛り上がりました。年をとるとますます友人を作りにくいのですが、同じ目的を持った「仲間」はいくつになっても作れるなと感じました。
