Working on Website Numero Dos is giving me a headache
So today I decided to work on my second website a bit. And it's giving me a headache.
Links not working, things not going where I want them, and all the drama that comes with it.
I should be pretty straight forward, because I'm not even using wordpress, but a website builder, but it's not as straightforward as one would think!
Launched a half-ass job
I launched it while it isn't even close to done yet. The reason why I had to do this is because I applied to a few companies to become an affiliate, and if they see a website that's not working, they tend to reject you right away. And I really want to have those in place.
I was immediately accepted by one, which could mean one of two things: they don't care, or they don't care haha. But it's one of the better ones so I'm happy.
I think I only have two pages done now, and the rest is under construction still.
There's a lot more work to be done. And now I'm running out of information to put on there...
Problems
I've been talking to support almost half the afternoon. They know me now. Not sure if they want me as a friend though.
So I had issues getting the right banners in the right place.
Tried everything they told me to do and still nothing.
Incognito page. Nothing. So I decided to leave it for a moment and restart my PC. Done!
Then text was hopping around where it wasn't supposed to be.
I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the issue was, so in the end, I removed the whole page and started again with a new one. Problem solved, but meanwhile it was 2 hours later.
And even if I had the money to pay someone to do it for me, I still wouldn't because I have issues handing over control of things. Ah well.
What is this one about?
OK, so for about two years, I've been looking into matched betting. I just can't get my head around it. I don't want to spend any money on something I don't quite understand, so I didn't actually do anything with it. Until I found some brilliant information about value betting.
I still haven't invested anything in it, but I know a great deal about it now, plus I found some good tools and programs to help people with it. So I figured, I'd take advantage of the obvious gap in the market, and make a website for this purpose.
Later, I figured I could also add some other information, like the platform I found, which also has sports betting people and affiliate marketers. It doesn't completely fit the niche, but hey, beggars can't be choosers, so I'm adding this as well, and I can always make a different website for it later.
Gamblers will be gamblers either way.
I'm not giving the web address away just yet, because, well, it's not done yet. But I will once I have it the way I want it. I think the name has a good chance, because it's what people look for when they search for Value Betting...
Like I mentioned before in another post, between all 4 websites and every other thing I have going at the moment, at least one should do something I think...
To Be Continued...
As an affiliate with ledger, I receive a percentage of the sales generated through this link
You definitely sound like you have a lot going on! I hope this website is prosperous for you!
Yes, I do have a lot going on, but so do all mothers haha. As for the website, it's a work in progress but I believe it has potential. Mainly because value betting isn't very well known, and it's one of two ways to actually win instead of losing haha. So it should be seen as an investment, rather than gambling.
I also have high hopes for the travel website once it's connected to bookings, because I'm in several worldschooler groups, and they all have a large following, so it would be the best place to market this. And the bookings isn't anything like those types that offer a travel business MLM style. I would get paid for all the bookings, without having to pay crazy fees or percentages to others. So now I need the funds to make it all reality and I'm in!
Good luck fixing your bugs, have your tried using some AI on the source code? Also, there might be something else producing it. I have been there, go for a swim and find my issues easier to deal with once I'm refreshed from the pool.
Yeah, I might do that actually. Because I thought everything was fixed, and it worked for a while, but now my embedded affiliate banners aren't showing somehow. A swim is a good idea.
