“I Want To Be Lampard’s Assistant” – Mikel Obi
John Obi Mikel, the former Nigerian midfielder made known his wish to be an assistant to Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard. He says that after retirement, he would love to assist Lampard in managing Chelsea.
They played together at the Stamford Bridge as team-mates for almost ten years in which they won lots of trophies together.
Mikel expressed his happiness at the progress Lampard has made so far as a manager and for the fact that Chelsea cared for their legends.
I joked with him after he got the Chelsea’s job that I want to be his assistant when I retire. I hope he will be successful at Chelsea for many more years.

Mikel Obi would do equally well as Lampard's assistant because they are both of the same caste. Lampard is doing so well for Chelsea.
Well, it's a matter of individual differences. Mikel might do as well as Lampard, he could even do better or worse. He was a really good player does not guarantee he will be an okay coach.
Would Mikel be as good as Lampard? Would he be as committed and dedicated to Chelsea's cause? Would he not end up as Samson siasia did?
I believe he can equally be good. What happened to Samson Siasia?
